exactly, open debate is good, but Geoff wanted belittle others as being upset, red faced, crying etc. this despite it being a subject he had no interest or opinion in! Bizzare behaviour.

He's either a troll, trying to annoy people with alternate opinions to him, or lying about his support of the royals but too cowardly to debate like an adult on the subject. Either way he's dim and dull as f$*k. It's absolutely pointless trying to debate with a person who is only interested in being a troll or is intellectually dishonest with the subject, might as well block him I guess.

Funnily he pulled the same trick on the Trump thread, claimed he had no interest in who wins the presidential election....then just attacked Biden and ignored the psychological car crash that is Donald trump. It's beginning to look like he's a tory/brexit/trump/royalist anti-left culture war troll.

Let's see what happens if he gets elected again - it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he tried to change the constitution to remove the 8 year limit ....... and the idiots who support him would be rioting again if it was defeated
 
Just reading through this thread again. Can’t see any particular bad comments. Just a few stating opposition to the idea of a royal family.

Many mentalists have found themselves given the power in a democracy and tried to turn it from a democracy to a dictatorship and Trump won't be the last. It's usually difficult to do, but not impossible as history has shown. It's still preferable to have a system where the people can prevent it from happening than one where they can't. If people are stupid enough to vote to lose the power to replace their leader then that is their own stupid fault and there's not much you can do to stop people being so stupid.

This thread underpins the beauty and diversity of this forum, I’m very much monarchy in but I love how there are two sides able to debate it out.

stole money from the people, didn't believe in democracy, conveyed special powers and laws to herself, and was at least partially responsible for colonial oppression, oh and killed those that embarrassed the family in freak 'accidents' so yes, she did have some things in common, not quite full on tyrant, but hardly passive and democratic

remember that time when the queen couldn't give a sh$t that one of her family had died and the PM had to beg her to get off her ass or there would be a revolt. Or what about the time she protected her sexual abusing favourite son from justice? What about the time she awarded the British soldiers who shot civilians dead in northern Ireland medals? What about the time she expelled the people of Diego Garcia so that she could let (charge) the US for setting up a base there? Like I said not quite Gadafi, but, if Gadafi did those things we would rightly slate him as corrupt and a wrong un.

Oh dear just because someone dares to pass comment on the negative posting by some, including you they are therefore absolutely everything you are not, I think it's perfectly reasonable to pass comment if I wish. I said I wouldn't find myself getting all worked over something like the royals.

Looks like its yourself you is trying to belittle, throwing around insults like above, toys out of the pram springs to mind.

Your also being dishonest in the trump thread comment, I did not attack Biden at all, I pointed out he had made another gaffe, widely reported on all major news outlets, that is fact not an attack. I also stated I was interested in posters who say trump has 0% chance of winning - so what you stated above is again just a load of lies. I also take great interest in the presidential election, I have most of my life and always stay up every 4 years to watch it, so I have an interest, just not so interested in who wins! - there is a difference

No pro trump posts, no pro tory posts, no pro brexit posts, not even a pro royal post, no anti left culture war posts - so please point out how you come to that conclusion above, sounds like another rant to me.

Must I post anti tory, brexit, royal posts to be considered not a troll.

Also stated on here I work in politics, I am based in Hutton Rudby and work in Westminster a few times a month. I am not allowed to be a member of a political party so you can stick your pro tory accusation where it belongs with the majority of rambling above.

Oh yeah I am that dim I worked my way from no further education at all and starting at the very bottom of the payscale to be promoted to through the grades to where I am today, so if you belittle people for having no further education, yes I am dim, but apart from that my work record and the work I do now would suggest very much different.

Luckily random men making things up on message boards isn't really my forte. Leave that to the experts ;)
