Kate, Princess of Wales - not seen this year.

Treasury show royal family’s grant is expected to increase from £86m to £125m in 2025

Princes, princesses, crowns.... in 2024 when there are foodbanks and chld poverty.

Don't forget the Queen going out of her way to ensure Royal finances aren't scrutinised.

Charlies massive pay rise
Let’s not forget good old Liz bailing out her favourite son with £12m quid of tax payers dosh to keep the young lass that he’d never met quiet

Lets not forget she signed away an agreement to forcibly move the 1,000 native inhabitants of Diego Garcia so that she could rent the island out to the US military for her own profit. Now that IS something that's vile.

It's ok everyone, this guy is taking on the royal duties untill all the others can be found. Stand down!

He doesn't look like he has the strength to lift up the scissors to cut the ribbon, and if he does, he'll be too exhausted to do a silly wave as he is chauffer driven away.
I thought it was an AI aged photo of Charlie, turns out the blokes real... well, not for long by the look of him..

The Diego Garcia disgrace was the Wilson government, for those who think genocide is the sole duty of the Tories. Some suggest it was the price we paid to keep out of Vietnam.

This is a bit of a low one with a man who has cancer, come on lads.
That's the 88 year old 'Duke of Kent' who is (if you believe some news reports) carrying out Royal duties ahead of the more well known ones. Hense my surprise at this messed up family.

I don't have an issue with any of the royal family on a personal level, they've just had incredible fortune to have been born into absolute privilege and that's not their fault. I'm ambivalent towards them all, other than those that seem to abuse their privilege of course.

And whether or not they are decent people as individuals kind of misses the point for me; it's not about who they are, it's about what they are.

The monarchical concept is archaic, socially perverse and outdated. It will die out, the question is how soon.

To be fair. I would not want to be born into that level of status. Your whole life mapped out, unable to go anywhere.

Might have great wealth but at the cost of your freedom, sounds like torture to me.

Stop looking for outrage where it doesn’t exist. That isn’t Charles, it’s an entirely other grifting thief
I’m not outraged, not at all.

I can’t be outraged by something or a movement that is never going to happen such as a Republic in the UK.

I live about 25 minutes by train from central London, it's about 30 odd miles.

So imagine my surprise when a helicopter landed in the field up the road today, as Princess Anne was out and about cutting ribbons, and so rather than get a car, or heaven forbid a train, she gets a helicopter here.

I thought that was the preserve of little Rishi Sunak, but hey I'll remember to recycle my cans and bottles for the good of the environment.

I think I'd struggle through somehow!

I get they have responsibilities, or at least a small number do, but with that comes unimaginable privilege and opportunity to see and do things that 99.99999% of us don't.

Ironically I don't suppose they realise their privilege though, because for them it's a way of life.

So a bit of social networking in return for a lifestyle that is beyond any normal comprehension is a decent deal I'm my book.

You're describing the "major" royals like Charles and William.

The minor royals manage to have a life of privilege whilst also being able to live a fairly normal existence if they choose.

Don’t say things like that you’ll be accused of pro Tory pro brexit, pro trump anti left

I am describing them yes and that would be a nightmare to me, no matter what the deal was.

I get the minor royals bit, I’d probably take that deal, I see the appeal of that

I’m furthest thing from a Tory
