I would take what Carrick says with a pinch of salt tbh. I wouldn’t be surprised if we just banked this and ran with what he have.

I’d imagine we’ll start to hear talk about this is Hamilton’s chance soon.
 
Bit gutted. Feels like the closing of an era now with izzy gone. Fantastic for a period. Never less than 100% carved a career out for himself at a decent level after coming from none league. A quality player in there when his head is right which a move back home might sort out. Not looking forward to him running at borges that's for sure.
 
Disappointing, two pages in and no one has said he's shyte, glad he's gone, would have drove him there myself etc etc.

Standards definitely slipping.........
 
Best of luck to him, other than v Boro.. for me he often seemed to be, for too long, our only / best creative outlet & scored a few too..
 
I will say, very rarely injured in a squad that seems to have a lot of players injured.
Good on his day, it just wasn’t his day enough times.
I feel that if we want to get to where we want to get to then Jones was dispensable.

Jones was a really exciting player when he broke through, the first player to really get you excited since Adama.

Seems to be a player who relies heavily on confidence though. Very frustrating at times.

I think we’ve done well to get the fee we have.
 
It's easy to forget how good he was when he first broke into the team. He was a breath of fresh air at the time. He even played in an unfamiliar right wing back role for a period and didn't let anyone down, he actually did really well. Hopefully moving back home with a fresh start, he can get back to those levels again.

Whoever is playing left back for us at kenilworth road in March is in for a tough afternoon, that’s for sure!
 
Good luck Izzy, always gave us his best, which at times was brilliant.

Clearly dropped down the pecking order here of late so this move is a good one for all, especially as it takes him back closer to home.
 
Very good player on his day, dipped a bit over the last season or so, but still gutted he's gone.
Hope Luton stay up, he's too good to play in League One.
