It's definitely not a right wing press generated problem. As with anything they'll lie and can't be trusted but there are other voices out there

SPekaing of "adults in the room" It was another childish Tory trait of being unable to admit you made a mistake and just doubling down on any comment you make. Fair play @LessoftheLip for pointing out Scrotes hypocrisy but, like a Tory, he's going to twist things and try and double down. You won't get an admission from him

My intention wasn't to "win"; it was merely to confirm that you are a hypocrite. The worst type of hypocrite, an arrogant one.

And can we just take a moment to bask in the sheer audacity of someone who actually voted Tory accusing someone else of being one.

What do you want me to admit? Do you think that by saying the adults are in charge you aren't actively insulting the group you're directing it at?

My god. I can’t speak the words to say how refreshing and honest he comes across and truly authentic as a humble human being

If anyone gets the chance, try and find it and watch it….
Jesus: he has Prime Minister written all over him but the NHS needs someone like him though for now!

Which initial argument? You asked which Tories weren't childish and I gave an answer - Jeremy Hunt. You then said that being Tory was, in and of itself, enough to make a person childish. That's your opinion and you're perfectly entitled to it. I disagree. If nothing else it sounds like a convenient excuse for the devastation they've wrought - don't blame them they're just out of their depth.

You then called me a liar for pointing out you'd voted Tory when you were throwing an unfounded accusation of being a Tory at me.

The truth is that you voted Tory. Instead of admitting it and apologising you've gone off on a random tangent about me doubling down on something - but you won't say what.

Show me where I've been a hypocrite. Not where I've done something that I haven't ever suggested I wouldn't, or haven't, done.

My original point was that throwing insults around after a decisive victory might be seen as a continuation of the culture-wars. People seem to disagree, which is fine. For me, the "sleepy Joe" stuff is a part of the culture war and that treads similar ground to the "grown ups back in charge" rhetoric. I thought it was a point worth making.

There does seem to be a lot of mistrust of Streeting. Which is worrying because IMHO repairing the NHS from the damage the Tories have inflicted should be number 1 priority for the government. Hopefully he can prove himself
