Isaiah Jones

Intelligent debate about football seems to in the out pile, he made a difference today and played well when he came on. Long may this continue, I personally thought his contribution when beating 3 players with one movement was outstanding.

I have and only want what is best for boro, I would love jones to become a world beater more than anyone on this forum.

FA just wants to take the **** it seems as per.
Intelligent people don’t keep bumping a thread up to prove a point

Although Carrick boasts about the versatility of the players who play in the "3" he's been pretty rigid in sticking these players to his chosen position for them.

Forss and Jones on the right. Silvera/ McGree left. Rogers centre.

Forss and Jones made a big difference yesterday, but don't really start games together. But both are harder workers defensively than Silvera, McGree and Rogers.

Think Carrick has a bit of a dilemma, does he try to to pick a more solid team sacrificing some of the attacking intent? Or does he just hope things come good 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

It was nice to see Jones back in his natural position, most of his career and his break through game at Fulham he played from the left hand side of attack.

Good positive from the game.

As we all seen yesterday there are problems all over the pitch really but for me defensively we are poor and the personal needs to change as we leak to many cheap goals, standing off men not closing down etc poor decisions with the ball.

That Fulham game, best debut from a sub in years. Maybe start wearing the mask again?.

People might not agree with me (and normally I'd disagree with what I'm about to day) but against Bolton we should be playing our full strength team, the team needs game time to gel, they need the consistency of playing with each other!

It's looking more likely that we won't have any new signings by Tuesday either so let's just go with the team that will probably play at the weekend! Hopefully spank Bolton by a few and go into the weekend with a bit more confidence
But could Jones still get in if we did?
Maybe he's earned another chance?

I think Jones may be at a stage in his recovery where he can have a big impact off the bench but struggles when starting a game. He has been really bright in his cameos though so hopefully he's going to keep on improving.

when he starts he invariably goes in his shell, he is by far best as an impact sun for the last half hour, it would work better though if he had some ball players to play in instead of Matt crooks and “row z” silvera
