That's a really interesting definition of awful (especially considering the stuff you like). You've obviously not got to some of the real rubbish I felt inclined to include such as Huey Lewis, Bon Jovi and Dollar!!Some good stuff on there-Aztec Camera,Associates,Blondie,Altered Images ….. but some awful stuff including Roxy music ,INXS,Bowie and Spandeau ballet
It's not really my kind of music but it must have taken you ages to put that playlist together. My longest playlist only has about three hundred songs on it. I do have quite a lot of playlists though. For the music anoraks like me, I know there are some tracks that are technically 1979, but they were songs still played a lot in 1980 and fitted with the vibe of other tracks by the same artist. I also included one or two early 1990 songs for the same reason (especially if the band disappeared or changed direction after their one 1990 single). In the main I avoided album tracks or b-sides, but included some that I really liked or made me nostalgic for the 80s (Late Bar by Duran Duran for example).
I think I started in the summer of 2019 looking at the "date added" field on the tracks and just kept revisiting it when I was in the mood. This week I've been off work and determined to "finish" it so put a lot of hours in. I'm sure I'll add extra tracks as I remember them though! It's not really my kind of music but it must have taken you ages to put that playlist together. You never really 'finish' a playlist mate. I add stuff to mine all the time. I just use them to stop me forgetting stuff. And they're kind of all in categories. I have one for sixties girl groups, one for twee-pop, one for shoegaze/dream pop one for female fronted bands and female singer songwriters etc, etc. I'm not sharing them with any b*gger on here though. I'm still hurting from when Erimus74 told me that I had bad taste in music. I cried for weeks after he told me that.I think I started in the summer of 2019 looking at the "date added" field on the tracks and just kept revisiting it when I was in the mood. That's me on Spotify, feel free to follow me and have a look at my other playlists (and then I can reciprocate lol)
