which Scottish player of the last thirty years would have the most caps?

Just came across this on a forum.

Interested to get views and suggestions but I think I know who it would be.

Have they had any decent GKs who would have got a game?

Darren Fletcher was quite handy over a long time, playing for MU too which would have got him some favour.

John Collins in the early 90's wouldn't have had much in front of him in midfield and on the left hand side.. England were picking Palmer, Batty, Thomas and all sorts of duds at that point. He may have had competition from Giggs I suspect. Northern Ireland wouldn't have had much in the squad.
Mcallister was still playing excellent football until 2000.

Scot Brown was tongue in cheek!

Darren Fletcher or Neil Sullivan, most recently Andy Robertson would get ahead of all our English LBs
Again, I think Fletcher would have struggled getting into the side ahead of the likes of Gerrard and Lampard. I don't think Sullivan would have started ahead of Seaman either.

Andy Robertson would probably get into a UK side ahead of Shaw and Chilwell but there wouldn't be much in it.

Currently there's only Andrew Robertson that would get in our squad.

Tierney probably would if he wasn't a permacrock, and we didn't have 3 good left backs already (including Robertson).

It would be much more thought provoking over the last 45-50 years.

Dalglish, Souness, Danny McGrain, Strachan, and a host of others who might have had a claim

I reckon Alan Hanson would have appeared more for a GB side than he did for Scotland.

Even more interesting going back to the early 60's...........

Precisely why it's been set at 30 years!
