In nigh on 50 years of supporting Boro I don't recall a team surprising me as much as this one would if we made the play offs.
I've always been the glass half full eternal optimist but my hopes of reaching the play offs 6 games ago were zero.
Given the worst injuries I've ever seen in 1 season and the loss of Akpom,Archer, Giles,Rogers, I actually think Carrick guiding this team into the play offs would far surpass last years efforts.
We are very lucky to have Carrick as our manager and regardless off what happens this season,he needs to backed to the hilt in the summer and given a new contract.

If Norwich get beat you can guarantee we will lose and both Coventry and Preston will win. Its just a Boro thing.

Today is not the problem, or it shouldn't be..we should beat Swansea, and Norwich could well lose to Ipswich.

Would rather have our fixtures. We got 1 point from Sheff Wed away, Preston away and Bristol City home. Mind you, just checking, we got 0 points from the reverse fixtures against Hull, Ipswich and Leeds! How are we only 6 points off the playoffs?!

John and Seny have made a huge difference to our results , no shock, I suppose. Most people don’t feel even with a fully fit squad. We wouldn’t have been top two . If we somehow finish around eight with all our injuries we’ve had over the season it makes you wonder where we would’ve finished had do we been injury free.

Preston and Hull away are just about on a par. The other two fixture match ups though...Oh dear, oh dear.
Still, typical Boro may actually have us lose to Swansea, draw against Hull, then beat the other two when the playoffs have been completely ruled out.

I would be happy with a draw of I am honest. There are points to be dropped still even with just 5 games left.
