I got an SLK a few years ago, it's just the best to have a open top in this kind of weather (albeit it rare!). I stupidly got rid last year and really miss it this summer but now drive my new car with the windows open, rather than having the air con on!Let’s be honest. We are all only moaning because this heat is oppressive.
And the thunderstorms are confined to the west and midlands.
I just got in the car and went for a drive. For the air con.
In the summer I hate the summer and I'm a huge fan of winter and look forward to be able to wrap up warm and have some control over how hot or cold I am, Christmas time and cosy days indoors with the family and nice hot wholesome foods
In the winter I hate winter and I am a huge fan of summer and look forward to the BBQs, the light nights in the garden, days out with the family, Greek and pasta salads and not having to cook as many meals.
Oh and just to add spring is too wet and autumn is too unpredictable and I don't know whether to wear waterproofs or a light jacket or a full on winter coat.
What sort of cost is it for one bedroom in a house?I took the plunge last year and installed an AC unit on my home...for my office...cost was fairly stomach churning for an average person as I am...however...every single penny is paying itself back this week as I bask....bask.....in 19 degrees cool air
It's roughly 2.5k including 500 to sparky to install.a dedicated power line from the unit round to the exterior wall... has to be on an outside wall more than 3 meters from next door....What sort of cost is it for one bedroom in a house?
I assume these portable units are nowhere near as effective? It's roughly 2.5k including 500 to sparky to install.a dedicated power line from the unit round to the exterior wall... has to be on an outside wall more than 3 meters from next door....
It is brilliant and now I don't regret it for various reasons
Get a MX-5,brilliant cars for this time of year!I got an SLK a few years ago, it's just the best to have a open top in this kind of weather (albeit it rare!). I'll be buying some kind of convertible next year - maybe a mini
Nowhere near mate...did a lot of work looking at price to benefits...if by any stretch of the financial world you can get an AC unit you will never regret it.I assume these portable units are nowhere near as effective?
