I prefer autumn to this

I love the heat. Yeah the night's gonna be a struggle but I love the sunshine. Whether outside in the boiling sun or inside, shading from it
Quick BBQ's, beers and a paddling pool after a couple in the local beer garden. Happy days

Let’s be honest. We are all only moaning because this heat is oppressive.

And the thunderstorms are confined to the west and midlands.

I just got in the car and went for a drive. For the air con.

I got an SLK a few years ago, it's just the best to have a open top in this kind of weather (albeit it rare!). I stupidly got rid last year and really miss it this summer but now drive my new car with the windows open, rather than having the air con on!
I'll be buying some kind of convertible next year - maybe a mini

British weather in general is quite mild but the constant grey gloomy conditions made me feel sleepy and nauseous, so migrating to more sunnier climates was a definite major caffeine shot for me. However I will say that as you get older your body perhaps handles colder weather much better than the more

I love the summer personally. I know the heat can be hard work at times but everyone just seems to be in a better mood.

The only days i couldn't bear it were those 2 days (last july i think?) where it hit 40 degrees 🥵

On the flip side, i also absolutely love heavy snow and freezing temperatures for some reason!

In the summer I hate the summer and I'm a huge fan of winter and look forward to be able to wrap up warm and have some control over how hot or cold I am, Christmas time and cosy days indoors with the family and nice hot wholesome foods
In the winter I hate winter and I am a huge fan of summer and look forward to the BBQs, the light nights in the garden, days out with the family, Greek and pasta salads and not having to cook as many meals.
Oh and just to add spring is too wet and autumn is too unpredictable and I don't know whether to wear waterproofs or a light jacket or a full on winter coat.

This is me 😂

I took the plunge last year and installed an AC unit on my home...for my office...cost was fairly stomach churning for an average person as I am...however...every single penny is paying itself back this week as I bask....bask.....in 19 degrees cool air

Winter is grim. dark morning and dark evenings.
Spring.. often wet an cold and grey
Sumner.. fcuking hay fever!!
Autumn.. depressing September is alright

Think I need to move country..

Summer for me. Anything up 30deg and I'm happy.
Then spring and autumn.
Don't like dark nights at all

As Peter Kay used to say shut moaning and get a Solero, or failing that go and stand on Darlo station for 10 minutes it’ll soon cool you down!!!

I love summer by the way

What sort of cost is it for one bedroom in a house?

I like our seasons. They get it about right. I love a proper winter when we get one. But if we’ve had one spring is so special and the climax of the season caps it off. And then summer. And cricket. And when you’re a bit fed up with it if it’s been too sunny the mix of early autumn and football properly up and running again. And then late autumn. Probably my favourite. But only as part of the cycle.

It's roughly 2.5k including 500 to sparky to install.a dedicated power line from the unit round to the exterior wall... has to be on an outside wall more than 3 meters from next door....
It is brilliant and now I don't regret it for various reasons
I assume these portable units are nowhere near as effective?

Nowhere near mate...did a lot of work looking at price to benefits...if by any stretch of the financial world you can get an AC unit you will never regret it.
It's a godsend if you suffer from heat issues atypical
Slept in the AC room last night it was bliss.....but not everyone can afford 2.5k....I could not truthbe known just pushed it
