%%Zack Steffen is/will be our best goalkeeper since Mark Schwarzer. He is far too good to be playing in the Championship in my opinion. He is far better than I expected as an actual goalkeeper. The save he made with his face in the second half was too notch. His pace off his line to make himself big and close down the angle was absolutely top level.
He makes me feel safe. I like that.
Nothing betterWhen he holds you in his big strong arms?
As a former goalkeeper who has played at the highest level I can say the it was not poor positioning. He was in the perfect position to claim the cross had it not been mishit and also left him enough to get back and do what he did.I’m afraid it was
You are not going out on a limb at all. You are right. Picked out by the Times this morning as a quality keeper.Zack Steffen is/will be our best goalkeeper since Mark Schwarzer. If you know, you knowI'm going to risk some serious pelters, I don't see what the commentators and everyone else was cooing about. He looked steady to me, a lot better than Lumley but that was a must anyway. Plenty of time left for him to make his case mind.

Nobody should “risk” getting pelters. State your opinion and debate. That’s fine. Your opinion is as good as anyones. I firmly believe Steffen is the quality we need and it will so prove.I'm going to risk some serious pelters, I don't see what the commentators and everyone else was cooing about. Yeah he's deffo a step up, I wouldn't say based on yesterday that I saw "best in the division level" not yet, but I saw a keeper that fits our system, is a definite step up, I saw a left winger that looks very good to compliment our right wing. Suprisingly I saw a very shaky back line, one that made me very nervous, and I saw an unbalance in midfield that needs addressing (probs down to tav going), there's a real lack of depth on the bench, and finally the obvious holes up front. There's a very exciting blueprint there but I wouldn't say we were close yet, lots of work to do over the next 4 weeks, if we get the 5 players Mr wilder wants I'd say well be a force, the difference between promotion and not could be how quickly we get these players theough the door as each player takes at least a month to get up to speed. If players come in at the end of the window we may be looking at end of September before we hit our stride.Nobody should “risk” getting pelters. State your opinion and debate. That’s fine.
