I’m going to go out on a limb here

It was a good save but his distribution that caused the issue in the first place was poor. He hasn’t had much of a pre season though. You can see his class and he will be a big player this season

A former keeper who has played at the highest level should know it wasn’t a miss hit cross, Wallace looked up and saw keeper off his line and deliberately tried to chip him. Great recovery save though.
 
I thought Steffen looked class. Compare him to Button at the other end and he looked twice the player, Button looked ropey as hell with his feet and shanked it out a good few times.

He's going to give me kittens this season. He is just the wrong side of cool and collected when receiving backpasses. He is used to pinging floaty balls out to city players, the best players in the world who can kill the ball dead by just looking at it. Ours have the touch of a combine harvester. Hopefully he'll get used to this sooner or later.

Absolutely agree

I thought the difference was outstanding and so clear compared to what we've had in no.1 for the past few seasons, say since Randolph

I think we're very lucky to have made this signing, they say Wilder and Pep get on, and maybe that's why we got ahead of the queue for Steffen. He's going to save us a lot of points this season, say had we kept Lumley. That is stating the obvious though and no pun intended :ROFLMAO:

West Brom were good and brought the game to us more than I expected, I think Steve Bruce might do well with those players. I know it was only the first game, like, but watching a few of the lads he has I did not know much about, I was quite impressed and glad we got something from the game in the end.

I just hope we make the right reinforcements up front and then, there's no reason to think we won't compete for that top-six area. Delighted Jones started his season with a goal, really was.

Giles, however, I thought was superb. I knew he was said to be good and I didn't know lots about him, but if yesterday is what we're going to be getting most games from him along with Jones on the other side, then how can we not be looking for two proven goal-getters now ... you could see the frustration on Giles' face when Watmore missed that chance yesterday. I am hoping we spend but it seems there's another random forward every day we're linked with I have never heard of on loan! Ha ha

Giles fully deserved MOTM and I hope we see more signings on par with him and Steffen before the window closes, then fingers crossed. You never know.

I actually thought at times, he looks that good I am shocked Wolves allowed him out on loan. Is it Traore he is behind in the pecking order there??
