Zack Steffen is/will be our best goalkeeper since Mark Schwarzer. He is far too good to be playing in the Championship in my opinion. He is far better than I expected as an actual goalkeeper. The save he made with his face in the second half was too notch. His pace off his line to make himself big and close down the angle was absolutely top level.
 
Looked the business like. As if his reflexes were twice as fast as our previous keepers. Which might actually be true!
 
Lots of plus points from today’s performance. Steffan looked 10x better than Lumps or Daniels. We’ve addressed the left sided issue with Giles who was top class. I think Crooks, McGree we’re very average as was Watmore and Akpom. Our defence needs a lefty as Bola was rubbish and probably our worst performer.

It wasn’t poor positional play it was just a pass that went to the opposition so caught him off guard. It was a a great recovery and top save.

Save in the second half to rush out and close down the angle was brilliant goalkeeping.

Yeah we have sorted left wing back but we definetly need to strengthen LCB and LCM
 
Looks like the best keeper since Randolph
But again he is on loan, it’s a position we need a permanent spot filling
 
I was sat right near whoever it was who hit it in the lower east stand... Impossible to say but I'd go for miss hit cross too

Oh are you. Right that’s that then. He played a floaty ball out to the left and it went to their player. And then they quickly tried to get the ball in the box and Steffen was still in the same position from his pass. He recovered well and made a quite brilliant save. It’s not a bad goalkeeping position. He’s not gonna be a stand on the line goalie, he’s not that type of keeper so something your just going to have get use too.
 
Keeper - great. Giles - great. Lenihan - a pacey forward could catch him out. Midfield and strikers? Needs some/ a lot of work
 
I mainly listen on the radio, Last season whenever the opposition had the ball, I panicked with Lumley in goal.
Today, I felt so relaxed, he brings that air of confidence and he's such a good keeper

Wallace knew exactly what he was doing and tried to chip him. Steffen seemed to think it was sailing over and only belatedly scrambled back and just tipped it onto the bar, not his finest hour. Good saves second half rushing out to block shots.
