Hungarian GP

GR stopped on track, on the slow down lap, didn’t he?
I didn't notice at the end with everything else going on.

"Another update for you...

Esteban Ocon and Sebastian Vettel have both been summoned to the stewards.

Ocon's is for not following post-race procedures after his win and Vettel has been called for a T-shirt he was still wearing during the national anthem in support of LGBTQ+ rights in Hungary"

Blimey it’s going to take the entire summer break to sort all the penalties and rebuild all the cars!

'We race as one' 'we race for inclusion and diversity'..............

Unless it embarrasses Hungary then you can't wear a t-shirt.

What a load of boIIocks.

Go on Seb lad, litter picking in Silverstone for sustainability, fighting for LGBTQ rights in Hungary, he's an all round good egg that lad.

He had rainbow shoes on, a rainbow face mask and even a rainbow on his helmet. Even if they had forced him to take the t shirt off he was still going to get his point across. Good lad is Seb. Shame that a 3.3 second pit stop cost him

Bottas drives like a maniac and takes out several cars resulting in a 5 place penalty that he should easily make up in that car. Vettel finishes with 0.7l of fuel short and a 2nd place finish removed. This doesn’t sit right with me at all.

You misunderstood what I meant mate, but it might be my wording, I meant holding him off till the end would have been really good in the 'sensational' category IMO, but slowing him down for six laps till he passed him and finished on the podium was merely very good defensive driving.
👍

Disgusting decision by the FIA. Sorry but they need to read the room a lot more. They are more concerned with not upsetting the 'big boys'.

Just finished watching extended highlights just now, Alpine easily the team of the day, Alonso is an absolute beast still, pleased for Ocon, he's almost become the forgotten man when it comes to the next Mercedes driver, Toto loves him. Vettel leaving Ferrari for Aston Martin has proven to be a great move for him, not as much pressure put on his shoulders and you can see he's got the fire back and wanting podium finishes. Mega happy for Russell getting those points for Williams, easily the most improved team this season and it's not even a close contest.

Mazepin is a rank amateur who should be nowhere near a formula 1 car. He's going to seriously injure a driver/pit crew/steward sooner rather than later with his erratic driving and seemingly oblivious concern for the rules.

Lewis with suspected long Covid 😟
Bit of a stretch that doncha think, I mean it could be any virus so why pick Covid (long or otherwise?)
Guy has been racing, had a pretty eventful one so lots of tension, possibly more sweaty hence additional dehydration.

Not having a go at him but seems a strange thing to announce.

It hasn’t just been today that’s why - he said he hasn’t felt right all season.

It’s awful that Vettel has been DQ’d after a truly superb race. However, whether we like it or not all teams have to adhere to the rules and had Hamilton been the driver with less than 1l of fuel then he’d be punished too.

We can’t pick or choose which rules to stick to. I do feel saddened for Vettel however because he drove superbly.

Great drive from Ocon too who must have been under immense pressure but handled it superbly and drove faultlessly.

I agree, it was a masterclass in using another teams car to hit and damage both red bulls 😉

Ideally, I’d like to see Bottas qualify in Pole and Lewis 2nd at the next race so Bottas’s 5 grid penalty is limited and Lewis becomes defacto Pole
He must be a brilliant billiards player to calculate all those angles of trajectory while driving an F1 car.
