Hungarian GP

I disagree as those five or six laps prevented Lewis from troubling Ocon. Experienced defence from Alonso.
See above, I agree totally he did a great job of holding him off and gave Ocon (or possibly just Vettel) the position but it wasn't a sensational masterclass. It was very good, experienced defensive driving from one of the best drivers who has raced in the last 15-20 years.

Consider the difference in cars and tyres and that is why it was sensational. Driver of the day says it all.

Brilliant help to his team mate definitely, a sensational masterclass it wasn't.
It was! Fernando Alonso the man who kept Michael Schumacher behind him in a much faster Ferrari for an entire race, the battle today never looked dangerous for one minute, Lewis was just venting his frustration.

Exactly that keeping someone behind you for an entire race, or holding them off to hold the place yes, slowing someone down for five or six laps no.

What superlatives would you use if he'd held him off till the end passing Sainz and getting on the podium?

That would be worthy of sensational and masterclass.

Whinging again though

alonso schooled the goat there
Take away your hatred of Hamilton and you’ll actually enjoy a brilliant sport.
You’ve seen how difficult it is to overtake on that track, did the Haas also “school” the red bull?

What are you on about Alonso was 4th and Hamilton 5th whyTF would he let him past? It’s Formula 1 racing not the Lewis Hamilton show!
