Hungarian GP

That’s the intended outcome when people troll as they do in the manner exhibited in this thread, isn’t it? Getting a bite, A nibble, something to fill the void?!
Or just accept people hold different views. Zorro is right; it was a masterclass from Alonso. The very reason he was voted Driver of the Day.

I tend to be a lurker on the F1 threads though I always watch the races, and still don’t understand what the chip on Zorro’s shoulder is when it comes to Lewis Hamilton.

It’s truly bizarre and any genuine F1 fan that doesn’t regard Hamilton as one of, if not THE greatest of all time is crazy.
It’s a really odd one isn’t it? He has crazy blinkers to such an extent that all logic and sanity goes out of the Window when he discusses Lewis. It’s really sad to read.
That being said I think he’s right in this case about Alonso. He always gave Lewis a car width and his weaving wasn’t erratic or in a braking zone. Good racing from him.
Lewis on the podium was worrying though. He looked wiped out. He also didn’t appear to be with it during the race. Should have called the tyre change on the restart, was struggling to read the pit board and didn’t know where he was in the track when he asked “am I fourth?” Something not quite right there

Exactly that keeping someone behind you for an entire race, or holding them off to hold the place yes, slowing someone down for five or six laps no.

What superlatives would you use if he'd held him off till the end passing Sainz and getting on the podium?

That would be worthy of sensational and masterclass.
Here you go suggesting he shouldn’t hold someone up….of course he should.

They are going on about Alonso's team work helping his team mate but I think Valteri Botas did better
😁😁😁
I agree, it was a masterclass in using another teams car to hit and damage both red bulls 😉

Ideally, I’d like to see Bottas qualify in Pole and Lewis 2nd at the next race so Bottas’s 5 grid penalty is limited and Lewis becomes defacto Pole

You misunderstood what I meant mate, but it might be my wording, I meant holding him off till the end would have been really good in the 'sensational' category IMO, but slowing him down for six laps till he passed him and finished on the podium was merely very good defensive driving.
