How would you feel about Dyche becoming our manager ?

I agree, but we also had a philosophy with Woodgate and that soon went out of the window.

I don't want Dyche, but can see Gibson getting frustrated and turning to someone like him.
I could see it happening too but as I said it would just show how pathetic this club can be at times. Whenever something goes wrong we chuck everything out of the window.

If Gibson pivots at the first sign of trouble it's a massive error. It's happened far too many times before and the result is stagnation and waste pf our financial resources.

Please explain the club philosophy to me because I don't get it.
I don't have access to the club philosophy, so I can't. I know what a footballing philosophy is though and why it's important. I know that it will take time to transform the club to match that philosophy. It's a strategic transformation and that doesn't happen overnight, or in 12 months, can take 2,3 or 5 years to really get a philosophy embedded.

If we are trying to establish a "Middlesbrough Way" (whatever that is) then from what I have seen Dyche would not be a good fit for even the vague concept that I understand of it. Also, Dyche is very much a PL manager and I would imagine that in his head that is where he believes he belongs. So, I don't think we would want him and I don't think he would want to come to us. (And that is ignoring any residual bad feeling he holds about his opportunity to play at Wembley)

I'd rather eat a dog s4it than watch Dyche "football", even if it got us up (which it probably wouldn't), we would only get pummeled in the division above anyway, and it would set us back from actually watching good football for years.

No way, don't even want to think about it, and the guy's a pr*ck.

I'd rather we were a mid-table footballing side, working to get marginally better every year. That is at worst, where we are now (come the end of the season), but I think we're better than that now, but desperately need some key additions. If we have no money for additions, then Dyche wouldn't have any money for the crap that he peddles anyway, and we've not got much we can sell (which we can immediately replace).

Very underrated and would be a brilliant appointment. Philosophy means b***r all if you can't recruit the players to implement it.

Not sure a team with the likes of Crooks, Fry, Mowatt, Mcnair and Clarke regularly starting will bring total football to the Riverside.

The fact people are comparing him to Pulis is an insult to Dyche.

Dyche is 10x the manager Pulis is/was.

Dyche's football may not be the best, but my goodness is it effective.

Serious question. How many times was a Dyche team 3 nil down at half time looking like they had never seen a football before?

He hates Boro, cos of the cup defeat and helped create a faux rivalry with Burnley. CW’s the kiddy

For some balance here, Burnley is the size of Darlington and surrounded by bigger football clubs and places.
Dyche did a remarkable job there.

I don't like him as a man. He played pragmatic football that got everything possible out of a very small football club.
I'm not sure he would come here, it doesn't fit with Scott.
I would prefer him as manager to relying on Kieran Scott; what exactly has he done to warrant such faith?

Gravy for breakfast football. An dinosaur who plays a brand of Brexit/Rugby football that is mix of Strachan and Pulisball.

Can’t stand the guy, I would ditch my season ticket if he was ever appointed.

He is currently working in home bargains in the Dundas as a security guard with his pet Alsatian dog called Winston.

No to Dyche.

Plus he hates the Boro.

Definitely not. Football has moved on. Dinosaur football should be extinct. It's horrible to watch, even when you're winning. I hated it under Pulis.

I hope we go foreign with our next manager. Plenty of good young managers about in other leagues and the championship pays well enough that we should be able to attract them. I think we need some more diversity in our thinking. We always seem so parochial and small time. Think Gibson was put off by Karanka and Orta but my guess is he doesn't like being challenged. Karanka was successful for us, Orta was successful with Leeds.

terrible idea. He's a good manager, but, we have a club philosophy now, and Dyche does not fit into that. It will just be followed by another 18 months of selling players to buy new ones that 'fit the system'.

Exactly this, have we not learnt anything from the last few years of switching managers and 'styles of play'. It screws you over for years due to the squad overhaul.

We need continuity of style if and when Wilder goes. I really struggle to get my head around anyone calling for Wilders head so early in the season to be honest. I'm still confident he'll get it right.

It seems like a resounding no for the majority - i tend to agree, although it wouldn’t surprise me if SG went for him if Wilder goes
