How would you feel about Dyche becoming our manager ?

I'm not saying I desperately want rid of Wilder and I'm not saying that I want Dyche as manager.
All I was doing for balance was putting into perspective the brilliant job Dyche did at Burnley who are a small club in a very small place.
Yeah, I don't want rid of him either, and I certainly wouldn't want him replacing with Dyche, but we could and likely would do worse, which for me is ok, if that just means more time and playing better football.

I was more getting along the lines of Dyche's job was probably easier than some realised, but not to say he did a bad job of course. I don't think he's a tactical mastermind, just played a style that some teams don't like to play against, and they scouted players to suit that.

I also find it hard to believe that it was him unearthing these gems from league 1 and 2 etc, as basically he wouldn't have time for that, and that's what scouts are for, but he would have time to be commenting on the big money players they bought, and most of them were not great.

Burnley's location is much better than ours in the eyes of a young footballer, but still probably not going to be as attractive as London, this is one of the aspects where I let our recruitment off the hook, as our pool of possible players is significantly reduced, by location alone (when we're outside the prem).

Dyche will demand a decent wage and his own back room staff

The Burnley team was almost entirely British except wood (who had English football experience) and then Cornet.

His style needs hoof ball so a big striker and 2 wingers in 442 not left/right backs

He probably would pick players who fit that mould

I can’t see he would accept loan players

Wilder will also need paying off

Does that sound like a Gibson appointment?
Monk to Pulis.

I’d rather have Strachan back, and if anyone could be ar5ed to look at my previous posts about the little ginger cnut they would realise my total hatred of him. Douche would be even less palatable.

supporting Wilder through this season is the way to go. It probably is going to be a very rocky road but the pain might be worth it.

Wilder will be gone when the next job offer comes in - he’s been let down with what was promised, so why hang around will be his thinking
