How many people do you know that have had Covid-19?

Six people, non of them had serious issues. My partner had a positive antibody(felt a bit rough late February, not sure if this was too early though??) through work so maybe i've had it aswell, I don't know....

To me it is amazing how many people that you know have had it. It is just less than 5% of the UK population, so about 1 in 20 people that you know. Personally I have a small family and only a small circle of friends but only know of one person.
It definitely has hot some regions harder than others, hope you all stay safe,

I know personally 10 people who have had it, 8 colleagues at work and a couple through the family.

None of them are involved with the NHS or interface the general public at work.

One woman I work with aged 60 had it really bad and although back at work still has problems caused by suspected blood clots.

It‘s dangerous, you don’t want to take any chances.

These people who have broken or stretched the rules at Christmas are beyond words and are unbelievably stupid. How many times do they need to see the hospitals on the news before they listen to the advice?

My nana. My freind was sick she tested positive yet her husband who sounded worse than she did tested negative and their three kids were also negative - tests seem really flakey from what I’ve seen and heard but yes only two people in answer to the original question.

Not one officially confirmed via test. However, almost certain I had it in the first weeks of March, and as I was on holiday with 3 other people, travelling to and from Gatwick in a car, certain they had it too.

In fact one of them had a test that confirmed antibodies.

I don't know that many ppl very well anymore TBH but of those I do know 6 have had it, one was on a ventilator for 5 weeks in an induced coma and in hospital 11 weeks altogether, 2 others main symptom was total lethargy/no energy for about 3 weeks, the others only had minor/no symptoms

At least 40. 3 who I know quite well died, none with health conditions in the 60-75 age group. 3 acquaintances with health conditions. One 50 yr old on a ventilator took 6 months to walk more than 400m. Quite a few with nasty symptoms that went on for weeks. A few with minor fatigue. Quite a few more in the second wave.

Know about 10 people who have had it. Know of 3 who have died of it. Not personally but they are relatives of people I know.

3... Two were nurses who worked on a covid ward at JCH, and one who works on a oil rig and thought it was all fake and some sort of conspiracy by the government to stop us doing what we wanted too (right up until the day he became ill).

I'm confused by this post.
Could depend upon a multitude of factors regarding how many people one knows with/ had covid-19.

My mother-in-law was on a ventilator for 12 weeks last April with it.

Two relatively young people I work with went down with it three weeks ago. They were both really bad and one still can't exercise as it drains him completely.

Probably about 40 or so people. Including my girlfriends grandma who was hospitalised and released from hospital yesterday but is still poorly. All my mam, dad brothers and sisters had it too.

My son and daughter both had symptoms (cough, headache, temperature) and tested positive a couple of weeks before Christmas. I had the same symptoms as them, minus the headache, but tested negative. It could well have been the new variant as we live near Brighton.

I know of 7 who have officially had it.
2 died, in their 50s.
2 hospitalised, both in their mid 30s and fit and healthy. Thankfully recovered.
1 in his early 40s and fit and healthy but took months to get over.
My wife’s 70yr old Uncle had it, and was classed as extremely high risk due to a nearly a decade of prostate cancer and various treatments. He was pretty much asymptomatic, thankfully.
Also know at least a dozen who probably had it during first wave, but before testing widely available so who really knows?

Had a think .. I know circa 25 including my girlfriend, who probably gave it me but it was during the pre testing mania times so I had no chance of getting one as I had very mild symptoms.

Thankfully none have passed away. 👍🏻
