How many people do you know that have had Covid-19?

Eleven months in I finally know of one person that has had it! Kind of wild, right?

I am curious as to how your numbers stack up.

PS: please no conspiracies

My daughter has it now, my son had it in wave 1. We know another 4 or 5 who have had confirmed positive tests over the last year.

Me, my wife, brother and sister in law and their 2 kids - plus two deaths in the family. I work in education so have quite a few colleagues who have had it.

Know loads who have had it over the last few months, it feels like it’s everywhere at the moment

At least 4 friends immediately come to mind, I'm sure if I sat and thought, I'd be into double figures very quickly.

Quite a few, don't know anyone whose suffered badly other than a week of feeling ill. But other than my parents and MIL I don't know anyone over the age of about 60.

Depends where you live, not many in the South West, even less where I am in Devon.

My daughter had it in Cheltenham in May/June.

Two. Firstly my brother. Floored him for a couple of days, otherwise you’d never have known there was anything wrong with him.

Second one of my ex’s who works in a hospital. Had a bad cough and went to bed early for a couple of nights out of tiredness. Again, you’d never have known.

My son has it, had it since 1st January, a banging headache, temperature, he's not been out of his bedroom since 1st January, so yes another one

Brother had it bad but OK now. My Daughter (Nurse) had it along with her hubby, now doing plasma, along with one of their daughters. One of my neighbours has just got over it. Have a few mates isolating at the mo.

I didn't know anyone until the last 10 days.

I have 7 family members 4 (adults) and 3 children all tested positive last week after meeting up for a 'super spreader' Xmas Dinner. They are all 'fine' ranging from fevers and fatigue to sniffles.

Also a work mate tested positive over Xmas. I work with 15 people and hadn't had a positive test up until last week.

I get what you mean. You'd think with a global pandemic I'd have known someone with it before this week. Then again roughly a 3rd don't show any symptoms so you wouldn't.

It maybe shows how the new varient is spreading quicker and easier.

Know a few here in London who have had it. Got a friend from a while back on oxygen at the moment in hospital and a colleague from work was placed in a coma a few days ago got fingers crossed for him
