Both have been recommended to Starmer in a 234-page document authored by his Chief External Officer, as detailed in your post #3 on this thread.
I wish this were fantastical nonsense, but such is today’s Opposition party.

Covid has done plenty of damage to the Tories and will do much more when we start to foot the bill when furlough ends.

Millions have been left with no support at all through this and that will stick.

As for Labour, I'm expecting the attacks on the Tories will start "ramping up" once normality returns and Johnson can't hide behind it. Whether that will get through the media shield is another story.

I hope you are wrong Alvez. The vaccine rollout did recover a lot of good will for the tories. However, 120,000 dead. They all have relatives and friends. Surely to god, even before the shambles of brexit, this has to damage them.

I agree entirely mate but my point isn't that the daily mail comments section is full of intellectual debate. My point is that more people read the mail online than anywhere else and wherever there is an article on covid it's just wall to wall 'this needs to stop now' and 'captain hindsight strikes again he just wants to lock us all down forever'.

So to suggest that Starmer is making hay in any shape or form from covid is absolutely incorrect.

This forum is essentially the same 10 people slapping themselves on the back, reading the guardian and thinking its the general mood of the nation, it's not.

The best way to gather that mood is to read papers you know you disagree with. To consume opinion you disagree with.

One of The Mail’s aims is to ensure that Starmer and the Labour Party fails and it’s never too early for them to chip away. For me if the Mail wasn’t attacking the Labour Party it would tell me they weren’t worried - so the more of this nonsense they print the more reassured I am.

Biggest concern for Labour? Trailing by 5 points in the polls. They should be 15% plus ahead . Tories must be laughing and feeling it doesn’t matter how bad they are. Labour are deemed to be worse..Sobering thought
