Hmmmm!😜 Very interesting article about 'Boro's problem's in midfield!

no problem with recognising weaknesses and wanting to improve.. no problem what so ever.

me and others appear to be some self appointed hierarchy? for calling out absolute bullshyt?

I don't agree with false narratives from message board trolls or totally unqualified opinions from twitter doyles who've never watched a full boro game
Name these people then. A sweeping generalisation that cannot be substantiated- strong position…….

Jump onto oneboro for a taste of the false narratives.. the ITK stuff surrounding Kieron Scott, Neil Warnock etc I've been through it all on there at a point in time.. not in the habit of recording my social media interactions taking notes or names tbh

I've linked two examples on here but I'm not going to continue to do that, I'm not reeling out the entirety of twitter either.. it's there for everybody to see.

Quite simply, you can’t! You should withdraw such comments as - and I said- they are totally unsubstantiated. One Boro? That the forum you got kicked off? Hmm

Problem these days, and I'm as guilty as the next man, is that every game is over analysed. Think we would have thought not bad if we had been told we would be sixth towards the end of October. Am going to try and take each game 'as it comes', as Tony Mowbray once (ok more than once!) said 'It is what it is'

I would have snapped your hand off for being 6th now. Prior to the Sheffield game we were a rudderless, disorganised, hoofball outfit that looked to be heading in one direction. Something then clicked, results picked up, albeit against some of the poorest teams. However results are results. And for that we can all be grateful.

I know we're 6th but there's five other clubs on the same number of points.
but were still 6th
Goal difference means nothing at this stage so for me we're 6th in the same way we're 11th.
and league position means very little so earlier still
I'm not a warnock fan.
obviously, you'd rather pretend that we're in 11th place than admit we're currently a top six side
He's a tacky manager and if the last three games have shown anything its that he's been getting things very wrong with these players
who was our last classy manager and how were they better than Warnock?
and for anyone who watched us pre-season, the wing back system thing he was trying wasn't working then against league 2 opponents.
isn't pre season the time to try out new players, new formations
Last 5 games with the exception of could if gone either way.
the defeats we suffered could have also went the other way
Lets see what he does against better opposition and what the table looks like then.
lets see shall we.. lets wait until we're higher than sixth place to start supporting the team!
I hope not, but its certainly possible it may look less positive than it currently does if results, ours included don't go our way.
'certainly possible it may'
Table will start to spread out over the next couple games
hardly a revelation
Karanka was our last classy manager and they were better in that he played better football, got more out of players thst others didnt, Leadbitter, Friend for example and most importantly got us promoted. The defeats weve had have been our fault. See the QPR game for example. Its not a case of they could of gone the other way, they maybe should of if we'd been better prepared, more focussed had effective leadership and managment. No ones pretending we're 11th its a fact we share the same points as the team in 11th. I generally enjoy your posts and optimism but youre coming accross as quite a few are; as a Warnock apologist. Long story short, the guys had a terrible 12 months and managed to win a couple dodgy games on the spin and been forced into changing his gameplan. As you say hardly a revelation

Agree with that up to a point, but having seen all our defeats this season, no time were we beaten by a better team....in fact that's what is so frustrating. Only time we have been outplayed this season imho was the first game (Fulham away) and we got a point. I reckon we have little chance of automatic...but could sneak a play off. Whether I want us to go up is a different matter.....

Well I for one want us to be promoted, simply to get some money into the club to help balance the deficit we still have and has probably increased over the last 18 months.
Get promoted, use some of the money we know we will get to recruit, sensible contracts that reflect if we get relegated, and actually try and win games when in the prem.
Setting up not to lose / concede just invites relegation. Brentford have started well and it may yet to t*ts up for them but they are playing well and trying to win. Karanka just seemed to look to buy defenders and holding midfield players other than one lone striker, Ronaldo in his prime would not have saved us how we played. ,
Staying for a second season we will get close to £250m and surely the club finances will be squared off.

Id add to that Otto that we looked like we were in the ascendency in the last half hour against Fulham and if the game went on longer looked the more likely to score.

Have you returned that JCB? God knows you built a big enough hole with it…….
Didn’t dig a hole at all, a few folks on there clearly wanted to have a pop and didn’t like it when I gave it back or called them out.

It’s no coincidence that the admin on there deleted all my posts and content.

‘Classy’
Aitor Karanka:

November 2013 (13/14)
Finished 12th on 64 points

Season 2014/15
4th on 85 points - 8 places, 19 points

Season 2015/16
2nd on 89 points - promoted

‘Tacky’
Neil Warnock:

Season 2019/20 - 8 games
17th on 53 points (saved us from relegation)

Season 2020/21
10th 64 points (7 places, 11 points)

Season 2021/22
currently 6th.. only by coincidence, luck, accident, keiron scott, wyscout screenshot, cat vvanker campaign

Just a daft Warnock apologist me, going to games supporting the team, players and manager. Thick as fcuk me like, I wish I could cut and paste some stuff off Twitter and pass it off as evidence and fact.

Erm.. no

'CLASSY KARANKA' - handed the core of a promotion winning team, a huge transfer budget, Chelsea loans and a stable position

2013/14 Karanka - our best manager in recent years with Friend, Leadbitter, Adomah, Ayala, Gibson
LWLDLWWWDWWLDDDLDLWDDLDWWWWLLWW - FOUR WINS IN HIS FIRST EIGHT GAMES

2014/15 Karanka - most enjoyable season imo, Tomlin, Bamford, Vossen, Nsue, Omerou, Fredericks
WLWLLWWWDDWWLDWWDDDWWLWDDWWWWWDLWLWLWWLWLWWWLD W25 D10 L11

2015/16 Karanka - most successful season Stuani, Downing, Rhodes, Nugent, Ramirez
DWDLWWWWWLDLWWWLWWWDWWWWWLLDDDWWLWLLWWWWWWDDDD W26 D11 L9

'TACKY WARNOCK' - handed a stinker with no budget, Gestede, Assombalonga, Fletcher, academy players regressing and new signings thrown on the scrapheap.

2019/20 Warnock - saves the team from relegation
WLLWLWLW - FOUR WINS IN HIS FIRST EIGHT GAMES

2021/21 Warnock - 10th place finish, no budget, no strikers, unfit players in January and no back up to Fry & Tavernier
LDDWDWDWWDDLWLWLLWWWLWLWLLDLLWWLDWLWWLLDLLWWDL W18 D10 L18 -7 game difference

2021/22 - 12 players brought in and key players injured
Warnock DWLDDLWLLWLWWW W6 D3 L5 compared with Karanka's 2015/16 (our most successful season) W8 D3 L3 - 2 game difference

Karanka built on Mowbray's core team, he was handed a heavy budget and unreal players to have in the championship Bamford, Ramirez, Downing etc etc etc

Warnock was given a sinking ship to save, he coached Dijksteel, Bola & Browne back into the fold. Deal Fry and Marcus Tavernier were in danger of falling off the radar.. and what sort of business have we done in the transfer market? We haven't blown anybody out of the water.. you could even say that we are still light and lacking one or two players.

That Karanka season is about a 30% improvement in points over the Warnock one, that's a significant difference

Warnock - squad rebuild and injuries to key players
W6 D3 L5 = 21 points

Karanka - most successful season, off the back of Mowbray's core players and significant investment
W8 D3 L3 = 27 points

We're two games away from our best manager in recent years from our most successful recent period.. and Warnock out?

If we're not going to give Warnock the same squad to start off with, the same quality of players, or the same budget at least we could do is give him the same amount of games and level of fan support.

Warnock's first 'season' shouldn't be counted - 8 games to save the club from relegation on which he achieved that.

Warnock's first full season is more comparable with Karanka's first season
Warnock's 2020/21 vs Karanka's 2013/14 - both finished on 64 points Karanka in 12th place and Warnock in 10th place.

That would make this season, with Warnock the dinosaur who can't manage for toffee and only wins games by pure luck and coincidence etc..
Comparable with Aitor Karanka's 2014/15 season

Shall we compare our transfer activity to start off with? I'll let you make your own mind up as to who had the strongest squad to start of with and who had the best transfer window. (we won't mention the injuries to key players in an area in which we are already light either)

Meijas - Lumley
Husband - DIDN'T SIGN A LEFT BACK
Omerou - Bamba
Kalas - DIDN'T SIGN THAT CENTRE BACK EITHER
Fredericks - Peltier
Nsue - Hernández
Clayton - Crooks
Forshaw - Siliki
Abella - Ameobi
Wildschut - Olusanya
Vossen - Payero
Bamford - Sporar
Kike - Ikpeazu

So Aitor Karanka's 2014/15 season vs Neil Warnock's 2021/22 season

Neil Warnock 2021/22 season
DWLDDLWLLWLWWW W6 D3 L5

Aitor Karanka 2014/15 season
WLWLLWWWDDWWLD W7 D3 L4

ONE GAME'S DIFFEERENCE - That's the difference between Warnock out and everyone's an idiot who doesn't say the same 'Maybe you need to take a break from the Boro mate?' etc etc etc that and Aitor Karanka was a classy sophisticated successful manager blah blah

ONE GAME - I'd go so far to mention the Hull game, we played well created tons of chances. Fine margins. a rebounded shot off Lumley's head and a poor decision from Peltier.

A lot of this has been driven (in my opinion) by Neil Warnock's comment that he would walk when he felt the tide turning amongst fans, having a look on the message boards and checking social media etc. As a result you have these absolute sad cases creating false narratives, gossip etc to try and get rid of our very successful and accomplished manager. They want to be important and see their little negative creations have an effect in the real life world. I've seen it from various sources and don't like it one bit.

if you are looking a t a small window then sure you can come to that conclusion. 6 points in that time from of 14 games is a lot. It's almost the difference between Blackpool and West Brom and I don't think anyone would argue that West Brom are light years ahead of Blackpool in ability and chance of finishing with a promotion

I'd also argue about his successes, he has had one promotion in a decade, his heyday has come and gone. He isn't terrible, but he is limited. Until he can put a team together capable of beating sides in teh top half of the table rather than the bottom 8 then we will fall down the table again. It's a quirk of fixtures that sees us 6th right now. Brum at Home, we should/must win, then Luton and West Brom away will be a real challenge and if don't win one we will be back outside the top 6.
