Hmmmm!😜 Very interesting article about 'Boro's problem's in midfield!

What I take from the article and the comments above is we have the wrong manager for our players - given we have just recruited the players and cant easily change them we should instead look at changing the manager
the TWELVE new players that Warnock brought in that have got us up to SIXTH place despite injuries to key players. I think some fans need to take a step back from the toxic online culture of slagging off the club for likes and shares and just take a look at where we are and where we've come from these two/three seasons.

the playoffs are a realistic target for this season in my opinion but in no way will it be straight forward or plain sailing, there'll be ups and downs as with any other season and any other club. we have a great chance to get behind the players and the manager and have a really good season.. one that would be well deserved.

I think some fans need to learn a lesson and be more patient.
There was no agenda going on. No Director of Football versus manager going on.
It was just all about the new players getting up to speed and being fair to them as well as the whole team. Surely, results build confidence and out of adversity we have put together a run that has brought is together again and we are all benefiting now. The next time we go behind or get beaten I hope people will think back to this time and not immediately knee jerk into sack the manager.

Yeah, a lot of rubbish being said about Kieran Scott bringing in players that Neil Warnock didn't want (this is before he even started working for us)

We have these laptop fans who sit there build these false narratives in order to gain acceptance/credence from their equally clueless online followers. It's a total embarrassment.

Stop patronising people Rob.
You've got as much inside knowledge as the rest of us, no more no less.
Folk can see things with their own eyes, hear things with their own ears and form an opinion accordingly.

Maybe at times folk choose to see what they what they believe to be happening.
There is a difference.

Ha ha I maybe didn't put that well. I mean if you think there is an agenda then that is what you will see. Your eyes can deceive you.
And that works both ways. Your statement about nothing at all going on is categorical but is only founded on your opinion.

'Yeah, a lot of rubbish being said about Kieran Scott bringing in players that Neil Warnock didn't want'

We seem to get this all of the time now, as if the manager isn't involved in recruitment. Have any of our managers actually come out and claimed that they were forced to pick players they didn't want to after they'd left the club?

Maybe if Warnock hadn't moaned so much about the foreign lads, people wouldn't have jumped to conclusions that he "didn't want them".

Off the top of my head he said something like "I've never had to work with so many"

And "Steve wanted to take a chance on players from South America, that's the direction he wanted to go down".

There's also Morsy's comments about how Warnock didn't want to sell him, which noone at the club has denied.

So there's a lot of evidence to suggest Warnock hasn't been in complete control of transfers.

People might have reached the wrong conclusion based on it, but not an unreasonable conclusion to reach (and still no proof either way anyway).

I don't think anyone is slagging the club of for the sake of it, just some of us questioning the strategy, direction and results and rightly so. We're all fans and want what's best for the club, some of us have a different view on how to get there.

Play offs is a realistic target for this squad, but needs luck with injuries and bolstering defensively in January. Just 11 more games until the window opens, I hope we have been in discussions over LB in particular and maybe another forward option. I think we need tweaking and bolstering rather than any major overhaul for the rest of the season. The biggest change needs to be the mindset of the manager in sticking with the quality of Payero, playing Crooks in his preferred CDM role, not having Howson or McNair in midfield they don't have the legs.

No knee jerk here Rob, my views were based on what had happened through 2021. The way we fell apart last season and the poor start to this season.

We still haven't beaten anyone top half of the table as it stands. Even though we have a squad capable of challenging for play offs. So in my opinions, he has yet to get this squad playing anywhere near its potential. I'd love him to turn it around, but I haven't seen much evidence that he is capable of doing so, I will be really happy if he proves me wrong, but if he doesn't I'll be unhappy if he is kept on longer than necessary.

The strategy under Woodgate was apparently to have the golden thread, high pressing, attacking football etc etc

I think with Warnock we've had a much more measured approach. Continuous improvement in the Championship whilst reducing the wage bill.. pragmatic and realistic.

Strategy - sign proven championship players at best available cost, develop homegrown talent, loan overseas talent. best fit for championship progression.

Direction - UP with one eye on the cheque book

Results - improving every season

I honestly think there are folks out there who do not want what is best for the club, they want to make a name for themselves and do what they can in order to achieve this. (this includes folks that have no connection with the club whatsoever)

I know we're 6th but theres five other clubs on the same number of points. Goal difference means nothing at this stage so for me we're 6th in the same way we're 11th. Im not a warnock fan. Hes a tacky manager and if the last threee games have shown anything its that hes been getting things very wrong with these players for a considerable time. For example; anyone who watched us pre-season, the wing back system thing he was trying wasnt working then against league 2 opponents, yet he perservered with it until his job was potentially at risk. Last 5 games with the exception of Cardiff ( although they also hit the woodwork at 0-1 dont forget), could of gone either way. What i mean is there hasnt been a game for about a year we're you could say we deserved that and were definitely the better team. Lets see what he does against better opposition and what the table looks like then. Table will start to spread out over the next couple games so key now is maintaining good results even if imho, some of our recent results have been a bit lucky

What’s your connection with the club? Excluding being a supporter?

that would be a connection to the club wouldn't it.. so somewhat of a redundant question to ask.
Not really. You and others appear to be some sort of self- appointed hierarchy who’s views are completely right.
The criticism of Tav was/ is largely fair, his final ball and shooting both wayward. Yet you and others decide criticism is not welcomed.

So tell me this, unless you recognise and correct weaknesses/ flaws how will you ever improve?

but were still 6th

and league position means very little so earlier still
I'm not a warnock fan.
obviously, you'd rather pretend that we're in 11th place than admit we're currently a top six side
He's a tacky manager and if the last three games have shown anything its that he's been getting things very wrong with these players
who was our last classy manager and how were they better than Warnock?
and for anyone who watched us pre-season, the wing back system thing he was trying wasn't working then against league 2 opponents.
isn't pre season the time to try out new players, new formations
Last 5 games with the exception of could if gone either way.
the defeats we suffered could have also went the other way
Lets see what he does against better opposition and what the table looks like then.
lets see shall we.. lets wait until we're higher than sixth place to start supporting the team!
I hope not, but its certainly possible it may look less positive than it currently does if results, ours included don't go our way.
'certainly possible it may'
Table will start to spread out over the next couple games
hardly a revelation

no problem with recognising weaknesses and wanting to improve.. no problem what so ever.

me and others appear to be some self appointed hierarchy? for calling out absolute bullshyt?

I don't agree with false narratives from message board trolls or totally unqualified opinions from twitter doyles who've never watched a full boro game
