Have you ever turned a foreigner into a Boro fan

The season we went up I watched the final game against Brighton with my south Korean flat mate at uni in Cardiff.

He was so excited by the game and my elation when we won that he spent the next few days researching our history etc. He kept coming to me with facts and figures. Not spoken for years but I still imagine him looking up the scores on match days 😂

Went to India for a holiday back in 1999 and got friendly with some of the locals who owned those shacks on Candolim beach, over the course of a fortnight I'd converted a couple of them to being Boro fans. A few years later (early 00's), went back for another holiday, and they were all avid Boro fans now, even had Boro shirts up on the walls behind the bar. My missionary work was complete. Job done (y)

I had a map on the wall with the Boro circled.

During my time stationed in Germany I had some German mates who were staunch Werder Bremen fans. Took 5 years but they all adopted the Boro as their second team.

I have a very good colleague who supports Wisla Krakow. They had a similar season to us. However he's a Villa fan. He now watches every Boro game and my disappointment is that I've taken more interest in Wisla than he has Boro
Yes I set up the Happy Valley Reds in Hong Kong, which has rebranded as the Captain Cookies.

For the Brighton promotion game the crew were chanting every where we go everywhere we go we are wigglesbrough.

It wasn’t me, but these lads, after hearing I was a Boro fan, came to work on the day we’d booked to go to the Knysna Elephant Orphanage, dressed in these

A Norwegian colleague of mine proudly wears a Boro training top that I gave him. He keeps an eye out for scores too.
