What's your fail safe method? Don't drink a lot nowadays, but had a party for my daughter's birthday which got a bit silly. Feeling dreadful today

****-a-leekie soup has worked wonders for me today.

I used to go for slush puppies after nights out, they always helped.

4 ibuprofen, pint of water when you wake up for a pish at 5am. then back to bed for a few hours.

other than that time is the best healer. or a few cheeky liveners early afternoon of the day after if you're not fully struggling

Fully, fully struggling 😩

I haven't got some of the suggestions in the cupboard, but coc a leekie soup is a good option, perhaps with a ton of pasta. Too slippy for the bike and think I'd fall off if I tried the hand shandy

There isn’t one . It’s purely down to time Ridding the poisons . I always tried to drink as much water as I could because that does Flush your system .
Just wrap up , tons of water and check your phone for horrid emails you sent to your ex 🤭

Food if you can face it, plenty of water and cups of tea. I hate hangovers, but always get them. Had way too much to drink this weekend. Fri, Sat and Sun night.

Wasn't going to drink yesterday, but played a game of online poker with 5 mates on Saturday night and chatted on Zoom as we did it, turned into a bit of a late/heavy session. A couple of beers was the only thing that got me through yesterday.

Feeling it today though, but that's it until Friday.

Should that read Irn Bru? Would make sense due to sugar content, but again it’s not something I’ve got in the house. Not sure why I wouldn’t have a party to celebrate my daughter’s birthday? Nobody outside our household attended.

Night: 1 pint of water before bed with 2 paracetamol.

Morning : 2x cups of tea and a bacon sandwich. Then a walk round Stewart Park or Redcar Beach (even better if its cold and fresh out) Then a roast dinner when you get back. Sorted.

Ibruprofen, milk thistle & pint of water, a hot shower, a full English breakfast with orange juice (or original Lucozade), a brisk walk, another pint of water. large mcdonald milkshake and large fries for dinner.. ham shandy, power nap and as many sachets of resolve, vitamin c as you can get your hands on.

Hydration in the build up to a heavy session is key, make sure to drink plenty of water for a t least 2 days before.

Once the hangover is there though time is the only healer, everything else is just a distraction technique, well apart from drinking again which just delays the inevitable.

As an aside anything that involves effort or particularly driving somewhere for a walk means you just have a very mild hangover. A proper hangover is being too hot and too cold at the same time combined with a total sense of unease, where even the thought of washing up feels like being asked to captain a mission to Mars.

'The Fear' - where you feel ever moment of every breath, the pounding of your chest and niggle or ache feels like the beginning of a heart attack or a stroke. Thoughts of death populate every disappearing thought and despite the pure exhaustion.. sleep is an impossibility. Certainly worth two hours or monotone conversation, ten minutes of breakdancing and a scrap in the street where wounds are covered with kebab meat.
