Hackney

I haven't seen Hackney play for ages. Obviously his loan spell with Scunthorpe wasn't a bed of roses, but at least it gave him some 1st team experience. From watching him in that FA Cup game against Brentford a two years ago, he looked a technical player, good passer and maybe a half decent shot. I'm sure he'll be more mobile than Mowatt (not that difficult), but completely different player to say Tav. Don't think we have anyone who can play in midfield with his energy.
 
Thought he's always looked alright when he's played. I expected him to do better on loan but that's really no gauge as many young players don't.

I'm presuming from the limited times I've seen him that he has more 'legs' than Howson and Mowett? Just need a slight change of gear or mobility in CM.

Oh and agree if this turns out to be true then it needs nipping in the bud. We shouldn't know this in advance.
 
So refreshing seeing a player turn and go forward, not sideways or back. Saying that the kid who went out on loan to Gateshead or similar a season or two ago who's name I forget, I thought he'd do well.
 
Thought he did well, certainly better with the ball than we've had recently with more athleticism out off possession too, definitely deserves to be in and around the first team. Maybe not Millwall away Saturday mind as always a tricky place to go and maybe worth sticking Mcgree back in for that one.
