Hackney and Fry 'Weren't too close' to being fit today

We need at least 1 of Hackney or Fry back next week. Both preferably.

If not then, it’s going to very interesting to see how we end up lining up.
 
“Weren’t too close” - is that a double negative 😵‍💫 I’m confused 😵‍💫 were they close to being fit enough to play, or not close to being fit enough to play 😵‍💫😳🤔

If Fry, McNair and Hackney aren't back then I think Howson will fill in at RB, with Crooks dropping into the midfield.

Could then be worth trying Lath wide left, playing as an inside forward, with Coburn up front.

Agreed
Would think only Rogers, Coburn - and maybe Gilbert - would be likely 'preferred' subs. But hopefully a youngster or 2 have a chance to establish themselves in the 20 moving forward
 
Fkin ridiculous that we're trying to push into the upper spots in the league, but have to contend with barely having enough fit players to put out a competitive team.

It’s not ideal but, if we have no hackney what would do with the midfield? I suppose he would have to play Crooks alongside Barlaser. Something Carrick has never done but should be fine really

Crooks Barlaser in the middle with Greenwood. Definitely not ideal but better than considering an overtly left footed inexperienced player play out of position at RB. In fact I’d rather Engel play there if we want to play fbs out of position

Feels a very attacking team on paper but suppose we have been forced into it. Will be a strange one for Crooks having to go back deeper he will have to be disciplined. It’s his favoured position but it’s been a while
 
Fry was at the game stood on the side of the pitch in a tracksuit whilst the players were warming up. I don’t know if he’d intended to have a late fitness test or if he was just there to support. Just thought it was strange he was on the pitch.
