Greenwood

Not been very impressed with him the last few games. He looks slow and gets caught in possession too often. Not surprised that Carrick is hooking him early.

No doubt there’s some talent in there, but if everyone was fit I think he’d struggle to get in the team with his inconsistency. I would say I think he’s improved.

Missing sitters isn’t really fine margins, it’s poor quality.

This fella hasn’t impressed me all season but for the odd good game and good goal. Not enough from him generally.

Doesn’t seem as interested or put in as much effort as the likes of Jones, Rodgers, Silvera etc.

Hitting the bar is surely the very definition of fine margins. It's literally an inch from scoring, which almost certainly sets us up to win and he's made another match winning contribution.
I think we have to remember with Greenwood is that he's only made about 20 league starts in his whole career, he's young probably playing more than he should be and he's doing his best. When he plays we should just get behind him.

None of the chances were sitters.

Disagree on the effort or interest. Doubt someone like Carrick would be playing someone who can't be arsed.

It shouldn't have been anywhere near the bar though, it should have been comfortably buried. Missed another glorious chance in the second half plus a sitter against WBA which thankfully didn't cost us. I'm not convinced about him at the moment. The most frustrating thing is he loses possession most of the time he get's the ball and our moves break down.

But then again he has scored some wonderful goals including v Sunderland and Leicester which he had no right to score either really. So maybe we need to accept the occasional miss?

As for possession, he is always trying to be positive and make things happen so he will lose possession on occasion.

Greenwood is a good player. He’s capable of the very best (against Leicester) but can also fade in games, or not take chances. As I a say if before, a player does not go to Arsenal unless they are excellent technically.

I think there’s a player in there but his attitude seems to be holding him back. Pointing fingers and it’s always someone else’s fault.

Becoming less and less convinced unfortunately. Holds onto the ball too long, doesn't seem to really look around enough and seems to try too hard to win the ball back after losing it giving away fouls that help the opposition.

He's got definite attributes, but right now they don't look worth the downsides. With a fully fit squad I don't think I wouldn't want him starting.

hes undoubtedly talented but struggles to find ways to influence or dominate play, I dont think hes particularly intelligent on or off the pitch
