Hard to say isn't it. I know several long time season card holders that have taken a year off. Five off the top of my head.

A computer-generated ballot will take place for the remaining 2,000 tickets – those fans who are successful will have their renewal processed and will be informed of this on Monday September 14 via email.

I nearly did this as due a baby in Jan and have a season ticket with my partner. I Applied for the 2 tickets anyway but can’t see my partner going. Hopefully they will let someone use her ticket, not sure if it will be allowed with Covid rules actually so I might end up having to go alone.

So you could potentially have two tickets that won't be used? Great.
 
You're potentially taking two tickets that could be used for the entire season by someone else. Unless i'm reading what you wrote wrong?

Yeah you have read it wrong. I have ordered 2 tickets hoping they get drawn out of the ballot. My partner is pregnant and due in January , she will start going again after we have had our baby. I will go as soon as they let fans in. If they let me take someone on my partners card that would be great but I’m not sure if that will be possible this year due to strict covid restrictions. If that is the case I will go on my own until she can come again in Jan/February.
