2500 tried to pledge to renew. So there is gonna be 500 unlucky people. Me probably being 1! Good luck everyone.

I never win anything, so it looks like I will be joining you and watching in the comfort of my armchair for the foreseeable future.
 
Good luck everyone. And here's hoping that we can actually use our seats before too long.
And with only 500 extra surely everyone who misses out would have every chance in a second ballot should the rules be relaxed even slightly at any time during the season.
 
Does anybody else think this is a worryingly low number of applicants for season tickets overall, with the 7900 plus just 2500 ballot applicants, even with the current Covid 19 climate??

We had something like 15,000 season tickets last season, didn't we?
Only season ticket holders could apply for the ballot.

So over 2/3rd return rate on that.

You've got to consider fear of the pandemic, people being put off by the ballot system, and the fact that there's absolutely no guarantee they'll even get in the stadium any time soon.
 
Think there was 16 000. I mentioned yesterday knowing 5 season card holders not renewing, three around me and all directly because of COVID. I think the pandemic is THE massive factor. There was a massive upserge in renewals when Warnock said yes to the job and that would surely have continued but there are just so many people that do not feel happy about being in a crowd right now. Which is fair enough, I think. Hence why they will get a second chance to renew next season.
 
Ah, knowing only 2500 pledged is going to make it even more gutting if me and our dad miss out. If there was 5/6k renewing and we didn't get it, would be easier to take, but knowing the odds are pretty decent at getting one will be a kick in the knackers!
 
But as I said earlier - it would give you another decision to make. Chances are if everything goes well then at some stage in the season they will say you can now allow another X amount of fans i the ground. With only 500 extra renewals then you are going to surely get in with a second ballot.

Pity the club didn't tell gold card holders that they would have the chance to renew next year instead of holding them over a barrel for 4 days earlier in the summer. I know gold card holders who don't really want to attend at the moment but felt pressured into renewing when the short window re-opened.

Could there not be a small window of opportunity to allow these people to change their minds, as there is a waiting list of 500 people, ready to take their place?
 
It could be imperative people contact the club rapidly if they no longer feel comfortable about their decision. Pods are being worked out right round the ground.
What the club have told us they will physically help people to their seats if needs be so they feel OK about it all.
