Glastonbury 2023

There was a new system in place which meant you don't pay at the time of the booking. This allows a lot more people to try for others making it a lot quicker and a lot harder to get through.

More importantly no dropping out of tickets because of payment failures. Most groups try for others whatever and get reimbursed. Happened with ours anyway.

That explanation messed with me head on a Monday morning 😳

Felt odd not trying for tickets yesterday.

I had decided to do Bearded Theory again this year (great line up for me)

I can recommend this festival for anyone else who has failed to get Glasto tickets. Like G it allows you take your own booze into the festival (including the "Arena") and it has one of the prettiest stages at any festival

How family friendly would you say it is?

Very. They have won awards as "Best Family Festival"

There is a large Children's Area and I believe that they organise a school for the Thursday and Friday for kids taken out of school for the fest, though I believe it is usually over subscribed and you might not get a place now.

It is a pretty relaxed vibe, certainly more so than some of the busy areas at G. I liken it to the vibe in Avalon/Green Futures at G. I stay in the Campervan fields (now sold out) so I don't know what general camping is like but there is an area for quiet/family camping. They have free hot showers in the fields and the toilets are reasonably clean (better than Glasto long drops!) but that depends on people using the Turdis preflush properly.
