There are, I never said it was exclusively right wing hate…..but the vast majority of the far right hate him, the vast majority of his haters are right of centre. Hes everything they hate, he’s empathic, loyal to his players, interested in culture and man management, hates racism and prejudices. And the papers have called him out for it. Still can critise when the football hasn't been great, if he somehow wins this tournament I will gladly retract all my previous statements and offer him my deepest apologies. Have you forgotten the whole booing taking the knee episode? It happened, the papers, gbeebies and the right wing press all attacked him repeatedly since then. Those who read right wing news are more predisposed to hating Southgate due to that influence. Have you forgotten the whole “keep politics out of football” brigade? Have you never read or heard them calling him “woke”? Is that the only reason some hate him, no.

But I’d absolutely argue hating him is stupid anyway, he’s had a superb 8 years and those that have constantly bitched don’t deserve to enjoy it if we do win, just my opinion of course and opinions can’t be wrong or be questioned apparently

The booing took place at many grounds around the country, including ours, when Southgate wasn't involved.

Why use the word 'hate' to condemn those who criticise him. It's childish. It's possible to be critical of something without hatred coming into it.

I have a lot of respect for Southgate, it doesn't mean I have to turn a blind eye when I find something wrong in what he does.

Thing is, I don’t understand why there’s an expectation people should retract or apologise for criticising even if we do win.
We’ve objectively looked poor, relied on individuals, and been slow to change when things aren’t working.
That criticism exists whether we win or not.

There is some but it's definitely the minority. This board is not a microcosm of the rest of the internet.
On social media, comment sections of online papers etc it's absolutely endemic, and it is hate and I completely agree it's often motivated by rabid right wing bias.
Also a lot of people who genuinely believe we should play 7 forwards.
