Why would that worry them? They won’t be in government in 2026.
 
It will be interesting to see who does present the show, as doing so would damage their popularity which is what any TV career relies upon.

I really hope the industry get behind him and takes a stand, because this situation is wrong a many levels.

All the brilliant alternatives who can do it for £80k a year (as I often read on here) will be queuing up I imagine!
 
Just had John Barnes on sky news defending Lineker. Made a great point....BBC saying he shouldn't make political statements...they weren't whinging about political statements when he made that Speech at the beginning of the World Cup about Qatar and their human rights policies etc
 
This is a sad sad day for our nation, it may seem small fry to some but what has happened to Gary Lineker is pretty huge. He’s essentially been removed from the airwaves for speaking up against facism and racism. We as the population need to take a stand no matter how large or small the contribution may be.

Mr Lineker has me truly humbled with his courage, his conviction and a pure sense of right and wrong and willing to speak when many others wouldn’t.

The Racist cabal which we call the government, the BBC and Tory donors, the people are coming for you.
