From the outside looking in we are an absolute shambles

Were looking in very poor shape, I can't see wilder putting up with this. I think it's sensible by the club as we need to be more financially sustainable, but the pre season ambition and drum banging was just ridiculous when we were clearly always more likely to weaken rather than strengthen, does anyone remember when we were selling spence and signing Gayle, Gykores, Armstrong, a Leicester CM and so on. I'd have no problem with it as I'd like us to survive and not do a Derby, but honestly would be nice and a bit of expectation setting, this faux ambition was all a bit silly want it lol. I predict wilder will have walked within a month

Problem is you get posters who call it as it is - and the super pro club posters will try and shout you down as being negative. If your midfield playmaker has gone and your strike force is pathetic how is it beyond belief of the super optimistic ones. For Gawd sake wake up and smell the coffee!

We thought( and hoped) things would be different. Bottom line is - they are not. Selling club that fails to secure the optimum prices - we are sodding well poor

Buy Riley Mcgree for 3m
Sell Marcus Tavernier for 12m
Doesn't seem that much of a shambles to me.
None of us know the ins and outs of our finances but I trust our owner to do what is right for our club as always.
Totally agree, our midfield is Crooks, Howson and McGree, with Giles and Jones as the wing backs, we do need to add to the strike force though.

Eeeee I luv Steve Gibson me like.
A said to the missus like - just watch that team fall apart now av left.
I left a reet good squad in 14th place tha knows.
No one knows them players better than me.
Ive managed 93 clubs, walked out on 4 an got sacked by the rest.
We my experience of managing 7684 games a know me stuff like.
They shunt a sacked me.
Mind ya.....
A made out a dint know till just for kick-off,
but a got the cheque from Steve in the bank, before a told the media ad bin mistreated like.
Eeeee, yav to laff dunt ya!

Aside from last season , our recruitment is **** . Always leaving it last minute . The later you leave it the more time it takes for the players to gel into the area , club and formation

If tav wants out though , then nothing you can do really but sell in this instance .

That said , Spence was never a regular here so it’s no big deal he’s gone and tav is the only one really we wanted to keep but looks like going . We haven’t really had had this extra cash for long , so we haven’t had much chance to use it to get the players we need

I suppose we still have a month of the window to go. There are a lot of points to play for in that month but it seems to be a really difficult window to do business. Without googling it we must have been amongst the busiest. Yet we still need a lot more. It was the same last season. I hope Scott has an eye on the future whilst we have some cash as we surely need at least 5 permanents. Next June we will have only 12 players under contract without further permanent signings. The foundation’s of the squad, numbers wise are very weak.

It's the same every season. Dont worry theres a month left, dont worry theres 2 weeks left, dont worry theres 5 days left.

Deadline comes Ooops we are 2 or 3 short. We are atrocious when it comes to signing players. The amount we have wasted is shocking and the number of times we leave our selves short is ridiculous.

We are in a stronger position than last year in goal.
We are in a stronger position than last year in central defence.
We are in a stronger position than last year at right wing back.
We are in a stronger position than last year at left wing back.
We are in a weaker position than last year in midfield.
We are in a weaker position than last year in attack.
i'm sorry but that is just not possible. the best two strikers are still here and forss has signed. we are still weak but better than last season.

When you leave your incomings till after everyone has left and after the season has started. When you’re negotiating from a point of desperation with 25m in the selling clubs minds - negotiations will be great.

I’m glad we had all summer to plan this.
all the players we want are stuck in transfer chains. because nobody is hardly doing anything in the market. its going to be a mental month for several clubs, us included. i'm guessing we had a cm lined up and pretty much sorted already. hopefully 2.

The thing is we need a player that is equal to or better than Tav, how many other clubs are going to be stupid enough to give away their best player(s) once the season has started? Can anyone see us buying a good first-teamer from another championship club at this point?

Not for 10m. It’ll be youth loans. We will always wonder what happened to that 25m.
