From the outside looking in we are an absolute shambles

If the Tavernier news is true, which I have no doubt is now it is being widely reported across various news outlets, then we are in an absolutely shocking state 72 hours before the season starts.

We play a formation they features 3 central midfielders and two strikers, let have left the squad in the position of having 3 senior central midfielders and 2 senior strikers at the club, one of whom wasn’t even given a squad number last week.

How anybody can think this is even close to being satisfactory is staggering.

God knows what Wilder must be thinking as I don’t for one minute believe he would have signed up to bring in this position with 3 days to go.

Our stated ambition is to be promoted, yet we are million miles off being ready for a promotion challenge.
 
It certainly is turning into a very disappointing build up to the new season. We are indeed well short of what we need, and even if we brought 3 or 4 new faces in before Saturday it would be to much to expect them to be thrown straight in a short notice. It’s going to take something special to appease the fans now if Tav is indeed going
 
It's what happens when you're in the weaker position, clubs come for your players when they're ready, not much you can do about it. All we can do is try and put it right before the end of the window, there is plenty of time left.
 
When we bring in another 4 - including some top players that will massively improve us and are top of the table after 10 games we will all be saying ‘Tav who?’. Have faith in the club getting it right in the end. We wouldn’t sell without a plan.

Our record of getting it wrong more often than getting it right doesn’t really inspire confidence though does it

Points five and six are most definitely true

And it was goals we struggled with last year which makes this even more frustrating
 
I'm hoping Scott and Wilder have a contingency plan in place and are currently working on getting two suitable CM replacements. Like right now, no tea or d*cking about watching the T20.
Not ideal this has happened so close to the season starting, but 5 weeks before the window shuts ......a lot can and will happen. I'm disappointed, but have to trust the process 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
