Not particularly complementary, think the general census is they wouldn't trust him to spend a penny.

I'm optimistic and happy he's our new manager, always interesting to hear opinions from other fan's.Obviously heavily tainted by the view on his final season, they'd still be in League One if not for him.
The fact he even got them in the Premier League in the first place was an incredible achievement, so I have to laugh at the anger that they were relegated.
Worry that he bought Rhian Brewster for £23.5m, 2 goals in 40 apps. Don't think Liverpool will be exercising the £40m buy back clause
To be fair he looked a player on loan at Swansea, so I'm not surprised PL were looking at him.It definitely looks daft now, though given some of the comments I'm not entirely certain it was all down to Wilder.
Especially not at the fees paid.
What’s your pointMcBurnie £17.5 M
Looked a good signing even at that price. Liverpool were reluctant to sell, hence the big fee. Hasn't worked out, not the first won't be the last. Better players than him have made mega money moves and flopped .To be fair he looked a player on loan at Swansea, so I'm not surprised PL were looking at him.
Hasn't worked out though, obviously, but then many of these don't, such as Solanke, or Ibe.
Probably a similar scenario with Bausor getting a load of grief off fans for not getting theses "4-5 players" in. Warnock identified a player and either the selling club wanted too much, player wanted too much, agent wanted too much......or Gibson wouldn't sanction the deals. Million and one ways transfers do or don't happen, pinning the blame on one person ie Wilder or Bausor is a little simplistic.Do people really believe than Managers actually get involved in the negotiation of fees and player salaries? With the amount of games in English football a Manager is highly unlikely to do that.
A Manager and coaching staff will scout players, evaluate their character and then recommend them to the club. It's then the job of CEO and people to make a deal happen. Wilder correctly identified Brewster as a young player with real potential who could score goals. It hasn't happened, but he personnel didn't spend £20 million of Sheff United's c
Joelinton anyone?Looked a good signing even at that price. Liverpool were reluctant to sell, hence the big fee. Hasn't worked out, not the first won't be the last. Better players than him have made mega money moves and flopped .
Certainly interesting comments......
Just pointing out the grass isn't always greener. Warnock should have been given this season as he was persuaded to by Gibson...What’s your point
why would you be negative to the point of hostile to a new boro manager before he’s taken a game.
I don’t get it
as surely we all want the best for the boro
Why so he can leave in the summer what’s the point.Just pointing out the grass isn't always greener. Warnock should have been given this season as he was persuaded to by Gibson...
have a word fella, there was not one person who thought Brewster was worth that money, as for Liverpool were reluctant to sell, erm really??? Are Liverpool reluctant to sell the following players:Looked a good signing even at that price. Liverpool were reluctant to sell, hence the big fee. Hasn't worked out, not the first won't be the last. Better players than him have made mega money moves and flopped .

That's what was agreed, 4 points off the play offs with injured players coming back in...Why so he can leave in the summer what’s the point.
we’ve moved on
Oh that’s alright then never mind the future on Middlesbrough fc it’s what’s best for the retiring manager that matters. That's what was agreed,
