GP's don't have the resources at the minute to issue an id for exemption.

How often would these exemptions last and how would you record the time frame? They would have to be fairly complex electronic ids that would update themselves over time.

Who pays for exemptions bear?

I know I know we could use serco to manage this.

Currently there will be somewhere between 20 and 40% of people who can't show a passport on their phone, it's not an inconsiderable number.

Finally how does a passport scheme protect you from someone who is vaccinated and is carrying the virus?

Aet at the minute it isn't even a plan its a soundbite. Something we should all be familiar with by now.

It would cost millions to implement, another conservative friend gets a bit richer, it won't work, it's divisive and would do nothing to reduce infecting rates at the moment.

We could have just kept masks for a free, workable risk reduction.

But what do I know

I do wonder if there’s an element of picking on football fans as easy prey. Could easily have been concert halls, cinema, theatres or any other sport like rugby, cricket, horse racing they apply this too but no they pick on football.

I feel desperately sorry for anyone who wants this to work and thinks it’s a way out. Cos it just won’t and it’s not.

It’s people who are forcing the divide, Covid is a killer disease, as is driving a car, can be a lethal weapon, so would you have loads of people driving cars without a licence, so why give people the option of the vaccine, unless medically proven otherwise, it should just be a given.

Sorry Holgate, this is nonsense. Perhaps if you accused the government of creating a two-tier society, theatre versus night clubs & football stadiums, you might be on to something.

Nobody, not one person, who is for this scheme has answered very basic questions. Questions around implementation, how much safer does it actually make us or why football, as a venue is selected along with night clubs.

Positive tests amongst vaccinated people are rising and this does not take in to consideration that if you are vaccinated you are much, much more likely to be asymptomatic than someone unvaccinated, so the undetected virus in vaccinated folks is likely to be higher than unvaccinated.

Where is the modelling for this preventative measure? Where is the money coming from, and more importantly who is it going to?

Why have we deregulated the wearing of masks and want to passport football?

The same people lauding this as a safety measure are on other threads wondering why tory voters fall for their nonsense. Perhaps we have an answer to that particular question.

Equally I can make a decision not to learn to drive and use buses, taxis, bikes, walk everywhere instead
