First time you had a Donner Kebab?

Not the first time, but there was a place in Sydney called Five Star Kebabs 20 years ago; and I can still taste it now.

Can’t understand people taking pride in never having had one.

I’ve never had a donner kebab, I’ve had Donner meat and chips plenty of times and Donner on Pizzas but never ordered as a kebab. Used to be a Pizza shop on Redcar high street that did a fantastic Donner Calzone.

I just hate cabbage and the thought of a load of shredded white and purple cabbage on it has always put me right off.

Mid-90s, my brother introduced me to them. Has to be a chip shop one for the chips.
When I’m in Nottingham will occasionally treat myself to one at Carrington Fish bar, their chip shop stuff isn’t great but Kebabs spot on.

A place in the centre of Birmingham in the 80s…been an addict or aficionado ever since, best I’ve had in Stuttgart, worst wierdly those GDK abominations!

Haven't had one in about 20 years since I started taking my health seriously.

Weirdly, I was thinking about one earlier though and craved a taste.

From this place in the 90's when I was staying in South Kensington. Every Friday night after falling out of the Zetland.

I was working in London and staying with my brother in law on Onslow Gardens. His wife was still living up here and we were two men behaving badly. People used to come from miles around to go there.

The last time I passed, it looked like a right sh1thole.

Mid 90s, I was still at school but I hung about with lads who were much older. Had few olde english together and went to ‘iffys’ on corner of Hartingon road Stockton.

These kebabs were nectar, and I reckon I’m not the only person to say that first high (food) on harty rd is what I’ve been chasing ever since.
