You’re right, I just meant that it is milky/creamy as opposed to bitter, tart etcCreamy I guess is more accurate as the coconut cream doesn't actually have any milk or cream in it - Pina colada should not have milk come anywhere near it.
White rum, pineapple juice and coconut cream is the official method but probably the best way to make it is pineapple juice, coco real coconut and koko Kanu white rum made with coconut. Any Malibu should be kept as far away as the milk.
Mai Tai for me as well. I got addicted to them when on a cruise.My favourite is a classic, a Mai Tai.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 oz White rum, 1/2 oz Fresh lime juice, 1/2 oz Orange curaçao, 1/2 oz Orgeat syrup, 3/4 oz Dark rum.
Preparation: Shake all ingredients except the dark rum together in a mixer with ice. Strain into glass and float the dark rum onto the top. Garnish and serve with straw.

They vary between resorts but it's got practically everything in with a bit of juice to legitimise it
Certainly not a delicious sipper to savour and tastes much like you would expect
