Hang on Hamilton is involved that’s the point or are you missing the obvious.
I meant if they had the faster car like Max does, they wouldnt be getting involved in incidents like that

We would have had the same incident on lap one if Hamilton hadnt backed out

My final words on the incident:

First, the whole "he can't celebrate whilst I'm in hospital" whining from Silverstone felt wrong at the time. And now he's literally driven over Lewis's head and walked off without checking on him makes the whole hospital whining even more disingenuous.

That being said I think we can all agree that we can't agree on this one and leave it at that? When even Filipe Massa as arguing with Herbert it's clear their are many ways of seeing this incident.

Should Max have backed out? Yes

Should Lewis have given more room into the left hand part of the corner? Yes.

I don't think a penalty should have been given. But I do think both drivers need to be called in to see Massi before Russia and told to chill before someone gets hurt

Think its fairly clear they do at this stage, only a few races ago they won by about 20 seconds in a clean race. The only ones really bringing upgrades to that car

Red Bull have investing everything into winning this season, knowing that they have the best chance with Verstappen and other constructors looking ahead to next years changes.

Which is probably putting undue pressure on Verstappen to win at seemingly all costs and taking unnecessary risks, I have no doubt if he pulled out of the crash he would've gone on to overtake Hamilton at some point.

Same at Silverstone, they had the far quicker car for him not to be involved in that plus a significant lead in the championship. Think most other drivers would have just let him go knowing they had the car to just undercut in the pits

Wonder how much they are compromising next years car

I've just watched it for the first time on C4 coverage.

I don't see much fault on Lewis' part. Max could have steered left and avoided the contact, he could have backed out of the corner as he was behind at the entry point. But Max (with "Team Max" reinforcing his delusions) thinks that it should ALWAYS be the other driver that backs out. The stewards have got this right. Max at fault.

I know this is a very selective freeze frame but...

Max, steering right INTO Lewis' car.

Steer left and live to fight another day, steer right and both cars retire maintaining Max' lead...

There was a very similar picture following their "coming together" at Copse corner. Probably just a coincidence?

That’s how I saw it

As you say it’s not going to be the only collision this season you can bet on that.

Yes sausage kerb or do you think max can bunny hop
Maxs rear wheel drove up the back of Hamiltons, that's what launched him, up, yes the sausage curb was involved but even without it he would have gone over the back of Hamiltons car.

The worst part of the incident, for me, is that in spite of landing on top of an opponents car, he made absolutely no attempt to check on the health of his competitor. That is the behaviour of a sociopath
