f1 monza

I was thinking that. The way Horner was talking they may have taken it this weekend if it wasn't for the fact Max ended up on pole.

Shame that most of the post race talk will be about the crash and not the McLaren 1 - 2 or the fact that, grid penalties aside Bottas was utterly dominant all weekend.

Brilliant for McLaren, always enjoy seeing a podium "shoey".

No I said racing incident but Lewis knew what would happen as did max.

neither is going to back off.

70 mile collision at one of slowest corners on go circuit is not compatible to flat out at silverstone though.

That’s my point.
The difference is that max never backs out, but expects everyone to back out for him. He's got a serious case of the schumachers that lad, and in this day and age he will start to repeatedly get hit by the kind of penalties that Michael managed to avoid through lack of integrity and transparency that existed in the sport back then

You seemed pretty adamant that Hamilton should have got a penalty for Silverstone though, is this really any different? Obviously much faster but essentially the same outcome which is what happens when a driver won’t give the other one space
No argumentnt there but no comparison as what Hamilton did was dangerous today was just a rebound of the curb at slow speed ( for f1) hence why the just beached not hit the wall.

So Hamilton has to give space to Verstappen just because he knows that Verstappen will crash into him, even though he is ahead going into the corner and doesn't have to yield the racing line?

If Hamilton moves right he misses the next corner, completely unreasonable to expect him to leave the racing line, it is however reasonable to expect Verstappen to move left to avoid the collision.

The stewards have got this right, just like they did at Silverstone with the equivalent penalty.

it needs controlled aggression and Max is still overly aggressive. I'm looking forward to Norris in a competitive car next year, that's what this sport needs
I agree this

might surprise a few but my fave driver at the mo is Llando love this kid.

Both are exactly the same though, if you leave someone no space going into a corner a crash will happen unless one of the drivers pulls out, doesnt matter if you are going 50 or 200, the end result is a crash. Its either an acceptable way to drive to force someone off the track or it isnt. Need to be consistent

Max comes across as entitled to me. Like the sport of F1 is his toy box and he makes the rules.
Its just inexperience on his part, he has the significantly quicker car this season so really doesn't need to be involved in any of this. You wouldn't see the likes of Alonso/Hamilton/Seb being caught up in these sort of incidents, just let the other car go knowing your chance will come later in the race/season. Doesn't look to be a driver playing the long game

Not arguing that I’m saying Lewis is no angel and has got away with a lot in career

first to Moan though as we saw today he tried to run me off the track etc every week he’s the same
You're just exaggerating.
MV did run him off the track. That's clear for all to see but because it's on the 1st lap it doesn't get looked at.

No your 1st comment was racing incident and you didn't apportion blame.

Except the Red Bull landed right on top of the Merc and serious injury was narrowly avoided.
