I think the fact Lewis was still trying to reverse the car out at the time might be the issue as even Mercedes has to tell him to
Give it up and switch it off. Repeatedly.
 
Penalty rightly deserved… should have been a five place grid drop. Got off lightly in the circumstances.

Lets see if Red Bull and Crashtappen replace the power unit in the next race seen as though they’re hit with a penalthy as it is.

I thought there was a rule where a grid penalty given as a result of poor driving had to be served independently?
If there isn't there should be. Verstappen can't be allowed to get away with that.

Hamilton lost more than 3 places as a result of the penalty he received, his talent got them back.

Rather than play the woe Verstappen card, his talent should be able to do the same.

He made a bad decision in turning into space that wasn't there and has been rightly punished for causing an accident, now he needs to do what Hamilton did in the next race.

I'm coming to the conclusion the Verstappen hasn't got it in him to curb that aggression of his.

I was thinking that. The way Horner was talking they may have taken it this weekend if it wasn't for the fact Max ended up on pole.

Shame that most of the post race talk will be about the crash and not the McLaren 1 - 2 or the fact that, grid penalties aside Bottas was utterly dominant all weekend.

No I said racing incident but Lewis knew what would happen as did max.

neither is going to back off.

70 mile collision at one of slowest corners on go circuit is not compatible to flat out at silverstone though.

That’s my point.

You seemed pretty adamant that Hamilton should have got a penalty for Silverstone though, is this really any different? Obviously much faster but essentially the same outcome which is what happens when a driver won’t give the other one space
