F*CK VAR

I think Bamford is possibly off as well. Similar margins to the cov goal at the weekend.

The more I watch it the more I think Dijksteel is a little unlucky for the penalty - he gets beaten but he doesn't make a challenge Rutter moves in front of him and their legs tangle

Why focus on the linesman’s mistake and not Dieng’s terrible goalkeeping on the cross that led to Bamford’s goal?
Because players play the game and referees facilitate it.

This is the facilitators of the game failing to sufficiently implement its laws. The whole enterprise hangs on that.

Why are you more interested in criticising our players than recognising incompetence from officials?

It's quite funny after the weekends VAR meltdown convo.

Just a hey, ho. A pisser but that's footy. Sky saying RVDB is possibly a red. Not for me. Maybe Bamford too then

Here's to more fun 2nd half!

Because two human beings made a mistake, an error in judgment. I don’t think one is more consequential than the other. Dieng should’ve done better and so should the linesman. We get on with the game.

Looked like RBDB won the ball to me? If not it's borderline and would likely be a red in the prem.
Winning the ball isn't enough anymore. It's about being in control. It was probably a foul and a booking but not a red. VAR would have done nothing, it doesn't give out bookings.

Agreed, it was a yellow no more

No VAR costs us a point.
The rest of the game would’ve played out differently if the offside had been given so it’s not as simple as you make out.

If we could defend properly we might’ve got a point or three. We were our own worst enemies tonight and it’s far from the first time.
