CB is difficult. I could see us selling Lenihan as vdB needs to start really.

That would be my starting team too, except McGree. I think he's off in the summer. Replace him with Forss or Gilbert.

I disliked 5 at the back under the previous managers, but it seems to work with MC's style of play. We look much more solid in defence, and dangerous on the attack, so hopefully we'll stick with it (y)

Also want us to play it long sometimes instead of playing out from the back all the time. Mix it up. We have pace to burn so should use it with Dieng hitting it into the channels much more next season.

I don’t think he will start with 5, he hardly does but if everyone’s fit I believe that’s our best 11 with our current squad.

I don’t see him breaking ahead of the others in his role. He’s currently 4 choice centre half. I’d be surprised if both him and Lenihan are here next season.

EDIT. I think one of Fry and Lenihan will leave, not both.

I’d be quite happy with that - there will of course be comings and goings though so it could look quite a bit different by the end of the summer window

That looks very solid defensively, can’t see that team leaking many goals that’s for sure.

Suppose Ayling doesn't count (yet) so if fit you go Smith.

Otherwise, as the answer to the set exam question, my answer would be the same as yours.

The only time we’ll go 5 at the back is the best 3/4 teams in the league, away from home, if carrick decides too

Yeah maybe. I don’t think the ‘best teams’ will be as strong as this year though. Feel like we’re in with a shot of being one of the best sides ourselves next season

If the 3 that go down are as they are I'd hope that it would be Leeds/Southampton, Burnley and then us that would be strongest sides. There are a few others that could compete but nothing to fear.
