England v Croatia

Strange atmosphere. It's hardly 'rocking'.

They could take a few tips from the cricket. You'd think you'd be pretty vocal after months of no football.
Not sure you're allowed to drink copious of amounts of alcohol while watching a football game. Besides, Edgbaston was allowed 70% capacity.

You don't have to be hammered to sing. I guess my point is that's its an opening England game in a tournament and people haven't attended games in a year.

Just seems pretty flat. You can generate noise in a big ground as playoffs were pretty loud.

A half of two halves. Mount was awesome first 20. Phillips and Mings have had good games so far. Sterling will get dragged for Grealish after 10 or 15 hopefully.

Started well but went flat. Need to start being more direct again. Knocking it about at a slow pace in the middle of the pitch suits Croatia.

Walker was poor. Sterling looks like he can be dangerous, but lacking a bit of quality in the end

Mings has been good. Much more solid than in the friendlies.

This is where I would like to see Grealish come on because Croatia look uncomfortable when we run at them.

Kyle Walker - What does he bring? Terrible on the ball, constantly putting it into touch or passing to the opposition- looks like a penalty waiting to happen when players run past him. Absolute liability in that half - get him off and get James on
