Boris and his cohorts are putting the economy first and the health of the people lower. With the lack of action likely to cause more deaths by COVID-19 (see the article linked at the top of this thread - https://fmttmboro.com/index.php?threads/scientists-disagree-on-large-scale.1421/).

The older you were the more likely you were to have voted in favour of Brexit. Plus the poorer and sicker regions up north voted to support Boris at the last election.

Many of the scientists are drawn from mathematics rather than medicine with very few specialists in infection control and no leading experts in the spread of disease.

Not all of the academics who have signed the letter are scientists and there are also a number of PHD students on the list of signatories

The irony about who will hurt the most from the British approach hit me as I was cleaning the windows in our apartment. A chore I would probably not have got round to yet without the lockdown.

It has, rather unkindly, been dubbed "The Boomer Remover" in certain parts.

There isn't much humour to be had from this but the irony that those who voted "Brexit" citing the "Blitz Spirit" are now hoarding toilet rolls, pasta and paracetamol is not without a certain black humour.

As Spanish is clearly ignorant of any other view apart from his own maybe someone could show him this. He can drop Mary a message if he likes with advising it’s gods revenge. Something sick that someone can post with glee about people dying (and supported by others seemingly)

Exactly no reply when I asked for the evidence. Reality of the situation is people on this forum are going to be effected by this and most likely some will lose family members. When that hits homes these sick threads by spanishman almost gleefully celebrating it may kill brexiteers or northern tory voters will hopefully be shot down for what they are. The biggest effect on all of us (barring those that don’t make it) will be that we pick up the bill for the financial chaos it’s caused - added to the bill for the banking crash this will take decades to recover from
