This fella does and it is compelling viewing.
Nearly 40 mins long but I can summarise

Epidemic is likely to be over and 2nd wave unlikely
’CaseDemic’ is what we are seeing now. Its a flawed measure too/
Masks - pointless
Lockdown - pointless and, indeed, could backfire with higher excess deaths than necessary this winter

I'll give it a watch with an open mind, but that little nugget that emerged on here the other day that people haven't had the usual summer ailments during lockdown has to mean something.
I'd love these suggestions that we are over the worst of it to be true, but we can't just assume that they are correct unless we have overwhelming evidence to back up these theories. We don't have that yet so I'd prefer a bit more caution just so that were not looking back in two or three months and saying "if only" as we are doing now regarding the early weeks of this pandemic.

Why do you believe "this fella" knows his Covid?
Because I watched it and he presented lots of data and helped interpret it.
Science isn’t absolute though and there will, no doubt, be contra evidence from others.

I’d be interested to see/hear other scientists comments
If this evidence has been accurately interpreted we deserve a response.

A cynic would say just because he presented lots of data and interpreted it it doesn't necessarily mean that the data was correct, or that he interpreted it correctly and that he may even just have told a load of half truths and misinformation to suit his own views.

Someone who believes the virus is caused by 5G masts could post a well presented video on you tube with lots of data and then interpret it and give a view as to why 5G is causing the problem. Doesn't mean they are correct.

How can a mask be pointless?

as surely anything that stops people spitting on each other and other things has to be better than nothing at all.

I just don’t understand why people would say this.
If made of the correct material, worn correctly and cleaned.

I’d probably say the data is from the public domain so prob ok to use. His interpretation looks to have some logic but I’ve no idea if he is correct or not. There may be contra data which he has chosen to ignore.
5G is a good example in that it was debunked by scientists reasonably quickly.

I’d like to see what this guy has had to say debunked too. If it can’t be then we ought to be asking some questions.

I’ve been a consistent fan of masks and a lockdown from day 1
This scientist has made me question it all
I've looked him up, engineering background so at least not iffy qualifications. Issue is, does that make him at expert on medical matters?
Still not able to watch to see what his rationale is.
Ivor Cummins BE(Chem) CEng MIEI PMP completed a Biochemical Engineering degree in 1990. He has since spent over 25 years in corporate technical leadership and management positions. His career specialty has been leading large worldwide teams in complex problem-solving activity.

It is very thought provoking and worrying at the same time. I am an ex Data and Risk analyst and can see what he is trying to say, however the concern is that common sense dictates that you should continue to isolate and wear masks, it is putting a large faith in his conclusion that the virus will run its course irrespective of our actions. Without understanding his intentions and motivations I will continue to follow government advice.

One of the people that I think talks the most sense about Covid-19 is Dr John Campbell. I follow his videos fairly assiduously.

He has a quite different view on masks, also based on what appears to be pretty solid scientific data.

Here's one of his videos that says masks not only protect others getting infected by you if you have the virus but could also protect you from getting a more serious infection yourself if you're not infected but come into contact with someone who is.

He also firmly believes in the efficacy of lockdown measures as he explains in this video.

Some varying opinions here and that’s good. One question from me is why the guy in this video (and yes you need to watch it) isn’t fast tracked onto bbc itv sky etc. to debate with others. We have had no alternative to the Government narrative. The truth does not fear investigation.

I'm going to watch it, it's good to have different perspectiv

I've watched it now and while it has some superficial persuasiveness about it I do have some issues with it.
The whole video suggests that lockdown and masks have done little to help or may actually be making things worse for the future, but I have to ask, as the figures he's using include lockdowns, what would they have been like if we hadn't locked down and health services had been overwhelmed?
Assuming the Gompertz curves theory is correct, how high would the peak have been if we had not taken any measures to try and limit the number of infections? By how many thousands, tens of thousands or more would they be bigger? How much more of this 'dry tinder' would have been taken by an unrestricted infection situation?
Also, as horrible as any incidental deaths are as a consequence of the measures taken, we simply don't know how much worse or better they may have been if we'd not taken those measures.

This video explains pretty clearly what is going on, and explains the disconnect between higher positive tests and lower impacts. Pretty much everything he explains was predicted by Johan Giesecke (WHO epidemiiologist) months ago. The epidemic is over. What we will have now is a seasonal disease that will probably kill many fewer people than Flu.

On the issue of masks, they are "possibly" helpful if properly used. But they aren't properly used so are actually a risk (do you know how to put one on? How to take it off? How to dispose? How to sanitise afterwards? And if you do, do you follow the correct protocols?)

Social lockdowns have been shown to have negligable effect. Social distancing has an impact upon speed of spread, but that simply helps to prevent health systems being overwhelmed. It has also been useful in allowing medics to learn how to cope with the virus without being overwhelmed.

He doesn't know his Covid and if you have half being following the pandemic you'd realise the most of what he's saying is rubbish.

The best bit is he is using excess deaths and there amount recently as a sign that the pandemic is over. Pretty bold when currently cases are on the up amongst the young when they won't be dying because of it...

His figures don't add up either.

It's right wing propaganda for the weak minded who can't make up their own minds.

Because I watched it and he presented lots of data and helped interpret it.

Finny sums it up here why it's all a load of crap. He's heard and seen loads of other scientists' comments, they all disagree! But this tickles his fancy because it's different. I just think Finny is a little bit dim or easily led.
