Deadline Day

I’m not saying don’t sell I’m saying sell on our time, we could have sold him today.

We sold him to benefit Bournemouth and tav nothing else he was still under contract we didn’t have to sell.

We had the power.
Agreed, should have told Bournemouth it will happen this window if we get a replacement, Tav could have played the last few games for us.

I fancy 2 forwards and 2 midfielders,a mad last 30hrs where CW gets his experienced striker / strikers ( Sturridge is experienced in the championship)
A loan CM and a buy CM . Have faith .

Shopping list for tomorrow is a proven 20 goal a season striker, an attacking midfilder that can be our gaston ramirez and a CDM who will be our shield for the defence and stop goals being conceded.

The recuritment team have had months to scout the world for these players it's time for them to earn their money or Scott and the lot of them should resign if they fail to deliver yet again

If they get all that done by tomorrow night I’ll show my arsè in Marks & Spencer’s window 😆

2 transfer windows for Scott so far and little net improvement to the team. What is Scott's purpose if not to source players and get the best outcome.
I'd disagree with that assessment. Scott is to identify players who can improve us. Its then down to offers and contracts to actually get those players. If they don't come here, it isn't Scott's fault, he identified them, he fulfilled his remit.

Plus, we are a better team than 12 months ago. The performances show that. When other teams fan's are saying 'I can't believe we beat you, you were the better team', we aren't rubbish, we are just not getting the rub of the green right now.

The team hasn't been improved by Scott. It has been improved by Wilder.

If Scott's remit as a DoF is purely to identify players then he's getting paid a lot for doing not very much. I would think he is also part of the signing process and should be judged on how that plays out too. Also who we let go and fees received.

"“In terms of signing a player, my role really comes in right at the end, and that’s the deal. Of course, I need to see the players and agree they’re right for the club and that the manager is on board, but the shortlisting and scouting, and the early part of the work, is done by the recruitment team underneath."

In his own words, he's not the one finding players, he's doing the deals, failing to complete deals is down to him.

Fair enough, I stand corrected. But the assessment we aren't a better team than 12 months ago is just absurdly wrong.

It really isn't "absurdly wrong", it's a matter of opinion.
I'd say the squad is slightly stronger, not so sure about the team.

I'd say the squad and team is much stronger, but as with a lot of big rebuilds it takes time for the players to gel etc.

IMO.
