Cristiano Ronaldo

Grade A tosser.
All designed to get another club and another deal.
He's now irrelevant as a footballer.
Sad that he get so much column inches but I guess it's car crash news.

He probably could still be good enough if he was willing to sacrifice personal success for the team a bit more.

He's capable of working harder off the ball, pressing etc but if he did that it takes him away from the penalty area more often, be more fatigued so would probably affect his finishing a bit and he'd probably get subbed most games after 60/70 mins. Because I don't care how fit you are, no-one at 37 can play a modern press at the top level for 90 mins twice a week.

It'd mean he'd score a lot fewer goals and there's no way his ego would take being hauled off every week.

And he only guarantees you 20+ goals playing for a top team who create a lot of chances and crucially, win a lot of penalties.

I think the most laughable thing about it all is that he tried and failed to force a move in the summer because they didn't qualify for the Champions League and now he's acting like he's the victim in it all.

His attitude is a big part of the reason that he's playing less this season.

That and the fact that age has inevitably caught up with him somewhat, but his reaction to being used differently in response to that has been atrocious.

Quite possibly. I think it's a real shame that he seems to press the 'stupid' button every so often as he's a fabulous player and for the most part extremely professional. However, every so often he does something or says something that makes him look a complete @rse.
Timing is everything - we have the World Cup break and then January transfer window- presumably this is his way of forcing a move in janaury!

He's a petulant little boy. If anything doesn't go his own way, then the toys come out the pram. He'll do anything to win, literally anything. If that includes diving, cheating, anything, he'll do it.

One of the biggest c*nts ever to play football.

If he wasn't as rich as he is, he'd be in jail over the Vegas fiasco.

Hopefully Portugal start him and he plays 90 minutes every game, as that way they'll either be an easy fixture if/when we play them, or they'll bomb out earlier.

He makes teams much worse nowadays. What's his record for Utd this season? 1 league goal?

Maybe Fergie should finally keep his nose out from now on.

Man Utd probably feel like they could do anything with him, they're a commercial club and he's been brought in for commercial reasons.

Wheres Ronaldo was treat like a King at Madrid a King at Juventus but even they didn't want to keep a mid 30's superstar so he's went back to Man Utd to be treat like a god and it's a rebuilding job.

You can't blame Ten Haag by telling to run a bit more as they're not good enough to carry him.
....... his big red nose. It's not helpful having some giant 'eminence grise' like Ferguson constantly hanging about in the background. Ronaldo goes on about the state of United but his recruitment is part of the problem not the solution.

Trying to force his way out of Man U, and can't possibly think why no teams are willing to take him, at 37, his complete self centred, self obsessed attitude and his £500k week salary/astronomical signing on fee. A mystery to me..........🤔🤔

Mad isn’t it

A club that really needs CR and a club that can give CR what he wants is an impossible equation.

He just hasn't reached a point yet where he's prepared to flex his side of that dichotomy.

Surely they can't play him again after this though.

Giving a public interview where you say you have no respect for the manager has got to be the last straw.

Probably a good thing that Man United only have 3 games before January.

That’s him done at the club. Legacy in tatters too.

Aye. The whole thing is completely lacking in class.

Which perfectly sums him up.

Soon be able to retire and concentrate on running the museum he built about himself 🙄

Do you reckon he does though?

I know it sounds ridiculous to say, because it’s Cristiano Ronaldo, but I’m not sure he gets into any of the top 7.

I don’t think you can seriously challenge for a title if you’ve got a player who doesn’t do tactics / systems and is a black hole without the ball.

I mean he’d start for Southampton, but I don’t think any manager who likes tactics would or could start him. Conte and Potter definitely wouldn’t. Evidently United have decided that his 25-30 goals aren’t worth what he takes away from the rest of the team, and they’re not quite a Champions League team.
Stick him in that arsenal team in January and they'll beat City to the title.
