More won in prize money than the fine? It's no meaningful punishment at all for me.Seems like a fair punishment for a minor breach to me.

It’s been boring I agree. In that case I look forward to you sluring max and red bull given their dominance this season
Scrap it totally, ban pit stops and you'd be lucky if there are 3 overtakes outside the first lap in a whole race. It’s been boring I agree.
I’d scrap drs for the lead straight off as no way should you take the lead in a race like that.
I think he’s saying don’t wait for drs to be implementedScrap it totally, ban pit stops and you'd be lucky if there are 3 overtakes outside the first lap in a whole race.
No I didn’t say scrap it ( although I hate it ) I said stop it’s use for taking the lead.Scrap it totally, ban pit stops and you'd be lucky if there are 3 overtakes outside the first lap in a whole race.
It’s rubbish DTS. Fake rivalries and story threads started that aren’t revisitedI thought it interesting that max hated DTS and has said he’ll no participate in it any more.
I wonder how f1 feel about that.
I still haven’t see all of this seasons I like it for the uncensored radios more than anything. It’s rubbish DTS. Fake rivalries and story threads started that aren’t revisited
They just take the big moments in the season and make an episode out of them
This is a sport where being a mm outside of the regulations is enough to get a team disqualified though, plus the guy at the top was quoted as saying a team over the cost cap would loose a championship. The punishment is nowhere near enough
Seems about right considering the size of the overspend, was never going to be points with it being on the low end of the minor overspend bracket. Reduction in wind tunnel time is damaging for them.
I think it is enough based on their rules, the rules should be changed though I agree. This is a sport where being a mm outside of the regulations is enough to get a team disqualified though, plus the guy at the top was quoted as saying a team over the cost cap would loose a championship. If it's enough based on the rules then the rules are pointless.I think it is enough based on their rules, the rules should be changed though I agree.
I wouldn't disagree at all, they should be like technical regs where if you break them it's a disqualification but unfortunately that isn't what the rules/punishments say for the financial regulations. If it's enough based on the rules then the rules are pointless.
So, to recap, Ross Brawn was jsit lying when he said the cost cap rules would “have teeth” it stinksYep but that's how the technical regulations work, if you do not comply with the technical regs then it is an automatic disqualification as far as I'm aware. This is different to the financial regulations. You can argue that it should be the same in that if you break the financial regulations then it should be an automatic disqualification and I wouldn't disagree with that to be honest but as it stands that is not how the rules are written unfortunately.

The FIA could only punish them with one or more of the top group of punishments and like I said because they were on the low end of it with them being 1.6% or 0.37% over then I think a fine and development limitations is about right.
Again I think the rules and penalties here are utter garbage and should be crystal clear rather than a selection of punishments but going by their rules I think they've done okay.
I think people are getting bored of Horner and his ludicrous comments. About timeMcLaren team boss Andreas Seidl says he took no interest on Friday in Christian Horner's lamentations over Red Bull's budget cap saga, dismissing the riton's press conference as just "another fairy tale".
Horner called the sanctions "draconian", but Seidl, when asked if he had listened to the Red Bull chiefs comments, said: "No, I didn’t listen to it because I can imagine it was another fairy tale, probably. Not really interested in that.
"There’s absolutely no reason to be in breach this year," he said. "We had good discussions earlier this year with all teams, the FIA and F1 regarding these topics.
"That’s why the cap was adjusted and it was also made clear from all teams and the FIA’s side that there is absolutely no reason, after this positive decisions in the interests of the sport, that there is any breach at the end of the year.
"I just hope if there is any breach, it ends up being appropriate penalties."
He’s trolling: just ignore him on F1 threads he’s just on a wind upMore won in prize money than the fine? It's no meaningful punishment at all for me.
Look at the rules, yes he was.So, to recap, Ross Brawn was jsit lying when he said the cost cap rules would “have teeth” it stinks
And that's Ferrari's complaint. It costs a lot of money to run a wind tunnel. Red Bull will just spend the money in other areas of development. As the rules were written then there is no way that Red Bull could have points deducted - they are now looking at the rules to possibly getting rid of the minor or major wording.
However to take the days off Red Bull's wind tunnel time is a punishment but surely they should have reduced their cost cap by the amount they would have spent here, rather than allowing them to divert these monies elsewhere.
Stop bullying RedBull staff, they're going through a mental health crisis. You're a monster SmallTown.I think people are getting bored of Horner and his ludicrous comments. About time
