How good is max? At the start of the season when their car was new Perez had the better of max for a few races.

It was evident the car is designed a tailored to max driving style when gasly was in the garage with him.

If the put equal amount of effort into parts for both drivers do you think Perez could be closer to max?
Perez is to Verstappen as Bottas was to Hamilton.

Same car, just an enormous gap between the respective drivers.

I don't hear Perez being criticised for that though as Bottas was.

A certain poster on this board often referred to Bottas as Hamilton's 'bitch' but is very quiet about the role of Perez in the Red Bull team.

No what I actually said was Bottas was very angry when interviewed on DTS even using the f word in his response yet not once in all his time as no 2 at Mercedes did he not toe the party line or put pressure on Lewis. Now at alpha Romeo he looks bang average again. I think George has shown how much of a patsy bottas was as unlike him he is challenging lewis on track.

Perez in fairness served his time in his own in lesser teams ( after his mclaren dream went sour) and did well ( yes he’s heavily bankrolled by his sugar daddy) but he’s shown he can and will compete. So his move to red bull is a pay day and reward for that work but he’s shown at times that he has the ability to compete at the sharp end.

Bottas was just happy to be Lewis lap dog he himself called bottas “the perfect no 2 driver” as he never once did he put pressure on the main man whereas George is a whole different animal.

Summary of ABA terms and sanctions

In accordance with the findings of the Cost Cap Administration, RBR has acknowledged that the Reporting Documentation submitted by it included the following incorrectly excluded and/or adjusted costs:

1. Overstated excluded costs pursuant to Article 3.1(a) of the Financial Regulations (concerning catering services);
2. Costs pursuant to Article 3.1(w) of the Financial Regulations (concerning consideration and associated employer’s social security contributions);
3. Costs pursuant to Article 3.1(h)(i) of the Financial Regulations (in respect of Non-F1 Activities), as those costs had already been offset within Total Costs of the Reporting Group;
4. Costs pursuant to Article 3.1(k) of the Financial Regulations (in respect of bonus and associated employer’s social security contributions);
5. Understatement of Relevant Costs in respect of a gain on disposal of fixed assets by failing to make the necessary upwards adjustment;
6. Costs pursuant to Article 3.1(q) of the Financial Regulations (concerning apprenticeship levies);
7. Costs pursuant to Article 3.1(h)(ii)(i) of the Financial Regulations (concerning consideration and associated employer’s social security contributions);
8. Understatement of Relevant Costs in respect of provisions set forth by Article 4.1(a)(i) of the Financial Regulations (concerning the cost of use of Power Units);
9. Costs pursuant to Article 3.1(h) (i) of the Financial Regulations (concerning consideration and associated employer’s social security contributions);
10. Understatement of Relevant Costs in respect of provisions set forth by Article 4.1(f)(i)(B) of the Financial Regulations (concerning use of inventories);
11. Clerical error in respect of RBR’s calculation of certain costs re-charged to it by Red Bull Power Trains Limited;
12. Certain travel costs pursuant to Article 3.1(r) of the Financial Regulations;
13. Costs of maintenance pursuant to Article 3.1(i) of the Financial Regulations.

And further that consequently its Relevant Costs for the 2021 Reporting Period exceeded the 2021 Cost Cap by £1,864,000 (1.6%). RBR has therefore accepted that it has breached: (i) Article 8.2(e) of the Financial Regulations due to its failure to file accurate Full Year Reporting Documentation in respect of the 2021 Full Year Reporting Period, and (ii) Article 8.10(b) of the Financial Regulations due to its failure to keep its Relevant Costs under the 2021 Cost Cap.

McLaren team boss Andreas Seidl says he took no interest on Friday in Christian Horner's lamentations over Red Bull's budget cap saga, dismissing the riton's press conference as just "another fairy tale".

Horner called the sanctions "draconian", but Seidl, when asked if he had listened to the Red Bull chiefs comments, said: "No, I didn’t listen to it because I can imagine it was another fairy tale, probably. Not really interested in that.

"There’s absolutely no reason to be in breach this year," he said. "We had good discussions earlier this year with all teams, the FIA and F1 regarding these topics.

"That’s why the cap was adjusted and it was also made clear from all teams and the FIA’s side that there is absolutely no reason, after this positive decisions in the interests of the sport, that there is any breach at the end of the year.

"I just hope if there is any breach, it ends up being appropriate penalties."

You're a joke Jedi. You just can't hide your hatred of Mercedes and Hamilton in particular.
I only have to go back to last month to find you calling Bottas Hamilton's 'bitch' so you are lying about that.

As the rules were written then there is no way that Red Bull could have points deducted - they are now looking at the rules to possibly getting rid of the minor or major wording.

However to take the days off Red Bull's wind tunnel time is a punishment but surely they should have reduced their cost cap by the amount they would have spent here, rather than allowing them to divert these monies elsewhere.

No I didn’t lie he was Hamilton bitch a fact even he acknowledged. Look at how George has performed on track this year.

I still don’t know why wanting someone other than Lewis and Mercedes to win every race makes me a bad guy.

I want competition I want lando to win Charles to win Carlos to win.

I want true competition not formula Mercedes’ as the hybrid era sadly became.

Winning all but one of the championships in that era and even that was after a controversial end.

News that audi are to enter in the coming years is good news as hopefully another big manufacturer might shake things up as well.

Show me where Bottas said he was Hamilton's 'bitch'.
He may have said he was a team player but I can give you a dozen quotes where Perez said he was playing exactly the same role for Red Bull. You seem to forget the many 'tows' Perez has given Verstappen in qualifying or when Perez sacrificed his own race in Abu Dhabi 2021 to hold up Hamilton for an age.

Perez is one last pay day and who can blame him he’s served his time struggling as he knows this shot is his last and he’ll prob be out soon.

He’s 32 in a team that traditionally promotes its own youth.

From Lewis radio on Russel

“I can’t believe you screwed me like that. I can’t describe how ***ed I am,” Hamilton said on the radio.

He’s not bottas
You think that website is a credible news source of Formula 1? :ROFLMAO:

Give me another news outlet which has reported that "Lewis Hamilton urgently wants Mercedes to fire George Russell and bring back Valtteri Bottas" or decribes Hamilton as a "cry baby". Go on, trawl the internet.

I repeat, you're a joke mate.

Btw I’m not and never have been a red bull fan mclaren is my team from the senna era.

I’d love to see lando up their challenging I’m sorry to see Daniel go but he’s been awful it just hasn’t worked.

No I’m saying that others share the view ok you don’t but there’s a reason Lewis moved bottas so much as he was no competition.

Even when bottas took pole it was a gimme for Lewis Ajax not once did bottas fight back like nick or George do.

Ah that's ok then :ROFLMAO:

No 90% or Perez's success is down to his ability to preserve tyre life. If the tyres were durable I doubt he would have had much of a career in F1.
